I spent a lovely week here with my husband, daughter, son in law and my three grandaughters - ages nearly 8 and 6 plus baby of 8 months. The cottage is very attractive from the outside and has a good size front garden which was great for the two girls to play in. There is a little stone table with a bench placed out in the front and we were lucky enough to have a few warm sunny evenings to sit and have a drink here and soak up the view. A picnic table is also situated outside the back door. Inside, we found the cottage very spacious with plenty of room for us all. The three bedrooms are all of a good size and the two upstairs have small en suites attached. My husband and I used the downstairs bedroom which had a shower and toilet nearby. The main living/dining room is a great size with plenty of room for us all to sit round the table and for each of us to have an easy chair/settee. (So often holiday cottages that sleep six have insufficient seating). The kitchen was amply equipped with a dishwasher (plenty of crockery and cutlery) and a washing machine. All this said, the main feature of the house just has to be the incredible views across the bay. It really is breathtakingly beautiful. We had some great trips out - Dingle to see Fungi the dolphin, Ballybunnion beach where the sun shone brilliantly all day, Tralee where we caught some of the Rose of Tralee festivities, and a trip to Castlegregory where there are trampolines and slides placed some metres out to sea and were much enjoyed by the girls. I would certainly recommend this cottage for a family holiday.
We had a great holiday in Ballyheige and a very pleasant stay in this nice house. Very comfortable. Great ocean view and a nice and big private garden for the children to play. As well as Ballyheige beach, with little shops/supermarkets and a nice playground for the little ones (with ocean as well).
