So we booked a classic room. No idea this would be a room at the back facing the road and 2 lifts plus stairs and confusing signage to get there. Believe me it is worth making sure you are getting a room with a view. Also the breakfast is average, I would have given an OK review but maybe I have been spoilt in other hotels. The bread and cakes were dry, also if you are booked in the classic room you don't get the same service as the others. You don't get a table with a view. They go out of their way to set you up a table at the back and leave crumbs on your table, to leave the nice tables already clean with cutlery for the guest paying the money. Never got offered coffee but kept coming out with cappuccino for other guests. Felt very second class! The room we had was clean and large. There is plenty of parking but we had no car so if traveling by train you need a cab to get here and it's around 15 euro for 4km, so be aware of this extra cost. The staff are friendly enough but no maps offered or advice and sometimes that's nice.

The hotel location is very good with amazing view ,the rooms are large and very clean but old fashioned, the balcony is very large with wonderful view the lobby is small , the breakfast was very good ,the staff are very kind and helpful the tow ladies (Fiorella and Jennifer )who served at the breakfast are very kind full , Giulia also was very helpful to organizing our trips around Lecco her office at the entrance of the breakfast room .

With a bit of TLC and a spruce up, this hotel would easily be 5/5 - especially for the view! However the need for a fresh lick of paint here and there makes it a solid 4. Location to Lecco is ideal, as you’re just a 10 minute walk from the town centre, or 15 minutes from all the boat stops to sightsee lake Como.

The food is excellent - whilst the bar menu is a little disappointing (chips, sandwiches etc.,), the a la carte menu is superb and throughly recommend booking yourself in for a night and treating yourself to a nice local bottle of wine and 3 courses.

Griso is a nice hotel overlooking Lake Como across the water from Lecco. The rooms are clean and neat with a modern bathroom. All the rooms have a view of the lake with balconies. We enjoyed sitting on our balcony with a glass of wine at the end of the day and take in the view of the lake and the town of Lecco. It is about a 15 min walk to the ferry in Lecco that will take to up the lake to Bellagio and Varenna. There are several good restaurants close by that are easy to walk to. Griso is a good value for the price.

We stayed here for 5 days with my husband and kids in July. The hotel was ok rooms clean and service good. The restaurant was very good and the food amazing.

Down part of it was that they had a jacuzzi which broke down and they never bothered to repair considering it was extremely hot. It would’ve helped cook us off from the heat. The hotel gets really busy with a lot of people opting to drive or just come to the restaurant but their packings are narrow and few. Don’t take your posh car there Incase you plan to visit. Otherwise family and I enjoyed our stay and visit around lake como region and Milan.
