Stayed here for one night, night porter greeted me at 10pm, gave me my key, I asked him if everything I needed was in the room- he replied yes. He was welcoming and cheerful. Room was simple, clean enough, televison worked. Walls a bit thin- made it hard to get to sleep. Woke up to discover there weren't any towels! Receptionist was very quick to offer a free breakfast- makes me think that it may be a regular occurrence? Coffee helped :)

I experienced the worst night ever in a hotel. Upon arrival I was given a key to a room that had yet to be cleaned up after the previous guests. Beer bottles, food, dirty towels were strewn about the room. When I complained I was told to wait outside in the the rain while the room was given a rudimentary cleaning. There was no soap, no hangers for clothes, room was dark and musty-smelling. I was supposed to stay for 9 nights but checked out the very next morning...after having a spider bite me on my face in the bed!

I have now spent almost 3 weeks seeking reimbursement since my credit card was charged for all 9 nights upon arrival. I have been lied to and promised this situation would be rectified with urgency! That has not been the case.

I travel all over the world for my work and have never experienced anything so completely unacceptable.

I booked this very quicky on the night before arrival through Hotels.com as my family had decided we needed a location near Charles De Gaulle Airport instead of driving for four hours for our early flight the next morning.

We had a long day of travel on the day of arrival (over 1000Km!) as we had gone sightseeing to Mont St Michel and the Normandy beaches on our way up from the Loire Valley where we had stayed for the week. On arrival at 11pm we were surprised to see the property so busy that late - with one night porter trying to check in a group of 48 (Who had obviously had a long flight ) who had a non-French speaking guide! After about 20 very confused minutes another party of three checked in before us and then it was our turn.

While the Hotel had confirmation of our three rooms - they physically were overbooked. The night porter was very apologetic and tried phoning a duty manager (who was off-site) to see if there was anything he could do - but the Duty Manager let the phone ring out three times and never called back (I asked the night porter on our departure early the following morning). This level of customer service is disgraceful. We got no sleep that night as the walls being paper thin was bad enough but the fact you could hear movement on the other floors ensured you could not sleep. The two rooms we had also had a awful smell of sewerage coming from the bathrooms - so unbearable we could not stay in long enough to have a shower.

The bad experiences have only been compounded by the difficulty I have had since my return trying to get a refund for my unavailable room - and some sort of compensation for the restless night's stay. After over a week of phone calls I finally got confirmation of a refund for the room but no joy for the lack of sleep or quality of stay.

Avoid this property AT ALL COSTS - and Hotels.com - who I will never be booking with again due to their complete lack of satisfactory customer service. They say "you pay for what you get" but this should not be described as a Hotel under any classification system.

Room Tip: Avoid at all costs - stay elsewhere
