Great for a free museum

It's promoting the navy, I guess it should only be free. Anyway, after an obligatory introductory... read more

Heaps to see, a must visit when they hold an air show. Great for big kids and little kids. Food in restaurant not a great menu and expensive. Went somewhere else to eat.

Great Family Museum for all ages to visit. The simulator as a great hit with the adults and kids. There are some fabulous exhibits. Close to Nowra great value and a great little cafe for a bite and coffee.
Especially good if the weather comes in with rain.

Even if you are not a "reggie spotter", this Museum is worth a visit. As an ex military pilot, I found it fascinating and my wife also enjoyed the experience. The Museum is well laid out and the exhibits are easy to access with informative information. There is also the chance to sit in a helicopter "simulator"!

The shop is well stocked with souvenirs and "cool" clothing and there is a cafe with great views of the runway.

The museum is constantly improving and although not large by some standards, it gives a great snapshot of the role Naval aviation has played in Australia's defence.
Having served at HMAS Albatross in the 1980s it's wonderful to see how far the museum has come since those tentative beginnings.
The displays portraying the history of the RAN Helicopter Flight Vietnam tell the tale of a little-understood part of Australia's Vietnam War.
You don't even need to be an aviation enthusiast to enjoy the museum.
