We stayed shortly after this property reopened at the end of May and were hugely disappointed.

Service, from prior telephone and e-mail communication, to on-site reception staff was not on par with a Relais & Châteaux property. Not very professional or helpful at all, close to zero information given, etc. As these were unusual times, we were able to look past this. However, the negatives just kept on piling up:

In our (expensive) Riesling Suite we encountered:
- a minibar snack menu but no snacks and no price list
- a wine cabinet in to room but no pricing information
- no in room dining menu
- 1 complementary bottle of water (for 2 people for 2 nights!)
- a radio that wasn't working

The room wasn't serviced during our stay, which at the time was understandable. However, we felt like somebody 'half prepared' it before our arrival and never finished the job... Only after we called reception multiple times did we receive price lists and so on. Printing these in advance would have been simple enough for the hotel.

The suite was not worth the high price tag in our opinion. The terrace is not private at all. The big positive was the comfortable bed, as well as the bathroom shower with integrated jets, mood lighting and music. The bathtub was also top notch.

Dinner in the restaurant was very good, so was breakfast. No complaints here. On our second night we ordered room service as we wanted to make use of our spacious suite. This was probably one of the worst in-room dining experiences we ever had in a hotel... and bordering on inedible. No finesse, hardly any taste and the food looked like someone had thrown it on the plate. If you can ever be offended by food that is being served to you, this was the moment for us.

Do go here for the restaurant and views over the vineyards.
But stay somewhere else. Or at least not in the suites.

Room tip: Riesling Suite wasn't worth the money for us.

Stayed for 2 nights in july 2020. Upgraded to a junior suite on check in. The room was absolutely perfect, with plenty of space, comfy bed, great bathroom and large and private balcony. Few covid-19 restrictions, but all handled really professional by the staff, so we felt comfortable and safe.
Location is great with lots of winefields and vineyards arround.
Food in restaurants really delicius!
We will definitly be back in the near future!

We stayed over for one night here at the beginning of our road trip to Austria & beyond.
The hotel is positioned in several buildings on a hillside overlooking the river Rhine and vineyards.
We had a beautiful room with nice veranda equipped with table & chairs. Superbly fitted out, top quality linens. Bathroom top quality with Hermes toiletries. Fresh fruit in our room when we arrived. Very comfortable. Wished could have stayed longer, definitely one to return to.

great hotel in a amazing setting in the vineyards. Great staff and service with severl good restaurants as well. Very close to severla wineries with wine tatsing available. The restaurants have a beautiful view looking over the vineyards all the way down to the river. We sat on the outdoor deck and had a delightful evening meal.

Room tip: get a room with a deck

We spent one night in this hotel being a member of relais et châteaux
We were greeted by a rude unpleasant young lady
Her arrogance was palpable
She also was condescending
This coloured the rest of our stay which was fortunately 24 hours only
The surroundings were pretty

The room was spacious modern and clean

We ate dinner in their main restaurant
Food was tasty and certainly the staff was more polite

I am not certain if the non welcome attitude was racial ,although I am Caucasian .

I would never return and wonder if relais and chateau should reconsider them as members
This hotel gets a big ZERO. For hospitality
