The view is amazing, the host is very helpful and knowledgeable. We drove through intense rain to get here from the ferry in Picton. Very good location for Abel Tasman Park. The lodge is beautiful and comfortable.

We were lucky to stay 3 nights at the Split Apple Lodge and enjoyed it very much. Pauline and Bert (our great hosts at the time of our stay) were great and they can offer you a lot of great things to see and do. The lodge itself is pretty modern. They offer a fully-equipped kitchen so can prepare your own thing. Our room was spacious with a large balcony (very nice view). It is certainly a place to be recommanded when you are travelling South Island.

The views are as good as the reviews say. You really are on top of the world. A really refreshing take on a BnB. Modern and minimal; Some may describe as decor as 'Pinterest '. The trouble was we felt like we were making a mess by just being there! The communal living space is huge, amazing sofas, and a massive deck with outside seating. Even though it was fully booked when we were there it never felt crowded. Fran (the host) recommended a great company to kayak the Abel Tasman with, and was so accommodating with all our requests. I made a mistake on the booking and she was incredibly fair so thankyou.

This place probably has one of the best locations in Kaiteriteri. It takes a while to get up the hill by car but it's more than worth it. The views from the rooms are stunning. We chose the sea side which comes with a balcony. Just perfect. The other side does not have a balcony and faces the mountains. The breakfast area is very big and very nice to spend the evening while reading a book with splendid views on both sides. Only slight negative is that there are not a lot op breakfast options (no eggs or other warm food) which may become a bit less attractive if you stay several nights there. The host of German origin is very friendly and helpful and will gladly help you with anything you need. All in all, we would definitely go here again and recommend it to anyone.
