Just back from two weeks in this family run apartments with a fantastic pool and Breakfast / Bar area. Jimmy and Soula, who are extremely hard working, gave a very warm welcome and were so helpful throughout our stay. Nothing was too much for them in making your stay as relaxing as possible. The apartments, pool, gardens and public areas were very clean and well maintained. You could pick a lime off the tree for your G&T on the balcony. We met many other guests who go back every year and we can see why. The apartments are a 15 minute walk to the beach, bars and restaurants of this quite resort. There is a local bus to Zakynthos town, vehicle hire (arranged through Jimmy) if you wish to travel at your own pace with many beautiful places to see. All in all a great experience, thanks very much Jimmy & Soula!

Room Tip: The upstair studios offer more privacy but have smaller seating area on the balcony.

These apartments are in a fairly quiet location about a 15 minute walk from the centre of Alykes. The pool area is pleasant enough with a decent size pool, a small pool bar, a small shop and an evening bar that opens at 7pm. The apartment buildings consist of older style two storey (I think) blocks and a newer 3 storey block. We had an apartment in the newer block and it was a very good size but not without it's faults. The fridge was very noisy and kept us awake at times. Also, although we got clean towels and a top sheet every day the sheet was just folded and left on top of the bed for us to make up. For the first few days the apartments were nice and quiet but some new guests who arrived later in the week were very noisy and we also had a sleepless night caused by noise from the apartments behind. A disruptive person arrived at the pool one day (who was not staying at the apartments) and no body from Alykes garden village did anything to resolve the problem. On the plus side, Nancy, who works in the bar at night, is brilliant !

This is a lovely hotel, the rooms are a good size and the whole hotel is kept really clean. The pool was lovely and we never had a problem getting a sunbed. It was about a 15 minute walk into town where there are lots of restaurants and bars. One restaurant in particular was great called fidelio that was at the crossroads. We hired out a quad bike that was really cheap out there and the owner of the hotel was happy for us to park it at the hotel as long as it was on the grass. We found the drinks and food a little expensive around the hotel, but it was always good.in all we loved our holiday and would definitely go back

Stayed here for 1 week in July. Couldn't fault it in anyway.
Jimmy and family are excellent and will do anything for you. One evening we came back and decided to have a couple of drinks on our balcony so went to the onsite shop but didn't have what we wanted so Jimmy went in his car and got it for us, you wouldn't get this level of service in many other places.
The hotel is spotless and in an excellent location.
Only one thing was the price of aircon €70 for a week we had 3 rooms so €210 was a lot to fork out before your holiday had even started.

We've just returned from a week at the garden village. All the reviews I read before going were spot on. The views from our third floor balcony were stunning. The room (301) was spotless if not a little small for four of us. We lived out of suitcases as there was only one small wardrobe. The shower leaked into the room below us and we were asked to hold the shower in our hands by Jimmy!! But these little things didn't stop us from having a wonderful week in the sun. The snack bar is very expensive but the food is lovely, Mary the breakfast chef makes the best eggs!! The Greek chicken plate is fab and at €8 was good value.
Air conditioning as everyone has mentioned is extortionate at €70 for a week, we didn't bother with the safe.
The walk into Alykes was about 10 mins, there is no path and drivers on the road are a bit mad, but it's worth the walk to get to the most beautiful beach and fabulous restaurants. We really enjoyed our evening walk! We ate out every night The Koukanari (pine cone) is outstanding with a very Greek vibe to it and very reasonable as was the Relax restaurant in We didn't enjoy Fidelio restraint as the food was a little bland. Paradosiako was outstanding. There are so many more we didn't get to try!
There was plenty of sun beds and the pool refreshingly freezing!
Alykes is a very rural village with lots and lots of hens and roosters, goats, cats and dogs and it was like stepping back in time, where the pace of life is slow and the people talk and smile to each other.
Jimmy, Soula and their family are very friendly and will spend time chatting and explaining things to you.
We would definitely return to this quiet, peaceful Zakynthos Gem

Room Tip: 301 has fabulous views of the surrounding mountains
