The place was empty, and felt like an abandoned Soviet-era hotel in a 'stan. My room also had mosquitos, so obviously this is an ongoing issue over the years.
You must have a car, as there is no restaurant in the evenings and no where to walk to.
The glass in the sliding door was shattered (although still in the frame). This made the room insecure, plus I was concerned about being charged for the damage. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk, the receptionist said, "Don't worry about it," and refused to change me to another room, despite there being only six people staying at the hotel. I did notice she was always hanging out in the bar whenever I passed by.
A very scant breakfast is provided, the real stuff not coming out until 8:30, when my group was already leaving. I guess it was held back so the employees could have it?More
