Description: Previously known as 'The Four Teas' cafe, these small tearooms have now been taken on by a fantastic new team, who along with a refreshed interior style, has some great new ideas and recipes for you to enjoy. Contemporary, relaxed atmosphere, & great new twists on old favourites. Supporting local producers & suppliers, 'Pinch of This' is a true community cafe, and always uses seasonal ingredients wherever possible. Much of the food is homemade from scratch, & the fluffy bread is freshly baked (& exclusively provided wholesale to this local cafe) by the well know & loved 'Bedale Community Bakery' - highly praised by regular & passing customers, as it being among "the best they've ever eaten"! Every dish on the menu is prepared in house & fresh to order. The cakes & other fabulous sweet treats, such as French macarons & homemade truffles, are all made by the friendly & welcoming owners. A true taste of quality local produce, and service with a genuine smile!

My husband and I went in for lunch on a visit to Bedale, we were down from Scotland for a few days in the area. It was a very hot afternoon and after ordering, our lovely waitress offered us a glass of iced water, which was very welcome. We ordered soup and tea to follow, the soup was lovely and the service was excellent. Our waitress couldn't have been more attentive, the atmosphere was very friendly and we will certainly go back in again on our next trip.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Called in here during bike ride. Staff directed us to rear yard to store bikes while we had a bite to eat. Fantastic fresh bread. Very good bacon egg. Refreshing ginger beer. A great find

Dropped in for a light lunch here recently. We only had a sandwich, which was served with a salad and coffee, but were very impressed. A couple of people came in with their well behaved dogs, and as well as looking after the customers, the dogs were given a little treat and gleaming bowls of fresh water! This place seems to be well patronised by locals and visitors alike and truly deserves to be!

We were in Bedale taking grandsons to a cricket trial and were very early, so went to have a drink and a cake.
Very pleasant smaller cafe boasting a wide range of Teas and home made scones. Unfortunately they only had one fruit scone left, which arrived with ample cream and jam. The rest of us had toasted teacake buttered.
The service was excellent and food and drinks arrived quickly.
From the menu and what I saw being delivered to other patron they serve a good range of hot meals that looked appealing.
Would definitely return again.
