Very impressed

Review of The Plough Inn
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 4 weeks agovia mobile
We were looking for a 1 night stay with comfortable accommodation close to the north Norfolk coast. The Plough Inn worked out to be ideal. Very comfortable room, amazing walk in shower and some of the friendliest staff you could ever wish to meet. In particular, the chap who looked after at breakfast was brilliant. Calm, cool and super efficient. It’s not often you are offered a freshly cooked breakfast and our eggs Benedict were right on the button. We had dinner which was also good and the service exceptional. We will definitely be back.

Travelled from Wroxham to this lovely inn for dinner - we were not disappointed as the whole experience from being greeted at the bar, some really pleasent service to amazing food - an overall wonderful experience! I can highly recommend the chicken Caesar salad - nicest, largest and tastiest I have ever had. Hubby had the pizza lasagne - it was like an episode of Man v Food, it was enormous!! It also tasted amazing.
Lovely staff just added to niceties! Thank you for a.lovely meal.

Pub restaurant and private hotel in a rural location, close to a surprisingly busy main road and a short drive away from the pleasant small town of Aylsham.
Stayed only one night but hope to be able to go back some time. Had a superb meal in the restaurant, waiting staff very polite and attentive. Room with a view across green fields was large, clean and newly-decorated as was the en-suite which had a powerful shower in a large cubicle. Bed was comfortable, slept fairly well although the duvet was a little too thick and the night not quite warm enough to sleep without covers! Kept the window open, therefore the noise of the passing traffic was quite evident but not objectionable. Our stay was beautifully rounded-off with a generous and very tasty full English breakfast with locally-sourced sausages and bacon.

Words fail me. The food in this establishment is absolutely superb. Cannot fault it. The carvery 10/10. Service 10/10. Staff 10/10. Never eaten food like it. Also had the seabass in the week. It's a must if you haven't eaten here. It's quirky, crisp and very clean. Rest rooms are Great too. Amazing place.

Room tip: Value for money. This establishment ticks all the boxes. A must visit

Absolutely bloody lovely carvery, best I've had in a long time.
Roast potatoes were perfect and the beef joint was delicious.
The leek and cheese bake was the best.
Highly recommend 👌

The staff were very friendly and welcoming as well.
Will definitely be going back in a couple off weeks.
Thank you very much.

Room tip: Try the carvery

The pub was decorated in a modern and minimalist style, but it was ok and perfectly acceptable.
However, the food was excellent, as was the service. The portions were quite large and it was good value.
It was a dog friendly pub which is why we tried it.
Recommended.
