Great hotel to stay for a relaxing spa break. Everything provided including dressing gown and slippers for a great spa experience. There is a lift outside the spa bedrooms straight into the spa area so easy access. The pool area is quiet and there is a sauna, steam room and outdoor jacuzzi. We enjoyed lying on the outside sunbeds with blankets provided for when it cools down and also relaxing on the indoor beds and reading after swimming. Excellent service and meals. A feeling of luxury, with a family friendly service.

Room Tip: Spa rooms with balcony or at the far end are better as the first room get very hot with being over the jacuzzi.

Had to stay near Darlington due a sad family event and it was a good choice.
Finally a place where kids are put to their place, not running it. What bliss!
In pool they are restricted to certain times and it is observed - THANK YOU!
Restaurant/cuisine excellent, smoked salmon superb. Silver service as it is written and thought in Swiss hotels @ St Moritz, Zermatt or what I got in Monte Carlo Metropole - but a bit more personal/family touch.
This was a surprise having got used to the desperately low hospitality standards in the UK.
Decor: we stayed in the Coach House Family room: style/colors are not to our taste, but this is personal. Due to small windows/opening sashes this must have been hot in the heat of the summer, but was perfect Aug 12-15th. Amazingly even though there was just 2 of us and booked a family room with one double and a single bed to give us the space we are used to at home, we were not charged more. We did not understand the bill at the end, each night charged at different rates - but it did not bother us.
Chamber Maid service: little forgetful, but we found this endearing: when pointed out, they went above board to put it right; however need to be more meticulous in vacuuming/cleaning carpets in corners/along walls/under furniture.
Now we found a base to stay at if further visits are needed we know where to come.

I stayed here on business with colleagues and was pleasantly surprised by the good service from the staff and the care they took in looking after us.
The bedrooms are spacious enough and the lounge has plenty of sitting areas. Lunch is a buffet with several choices catering for the hungry and the healthy. A set meal in the evening was extremely good and included an amuse bouche and sorbet in amongst the ordered courses. The wine menu had a varied selection and was pitched within everyone's budget. Pace of the meal was good and the staff allowed us to sit and relax after we had finished eating.
The hotel has a small golf course attached which is good value for money and fun even for some experienced golfers. The Spa is very modern and has all that you want from pool to outdoor jacuzzi to small gymnasium.
All in all this is a real gem that is only 15 minutes from Scotch Corner. Well worth a visit...

Yes back here again. This time for a joint 65th birthday with my wife. Booked the whole place up and had an evening party for about 150 people. Excellent Canapes & Champagne reception followed by a superb meal including the finest beef fillet that I have ever tasted. The staff are exceptional and the whole place has the most wonderful feeling about it. All the facilities are there; Spa, Golf and all the rooms are wonderful Yes; we'll deffo be back again Thanks David Jackson and to all of your Team.
