For £80 a night you would expect a bit of effort! Cobwebs all in the room, peeling paint, what looked like bleach stains on the carpet, dust all along the bed frame, one pillow per person on a double bed, one toilet roll (I know I could’ve asked for more but that’s not the point)
The nights sleep was awful. The room was so hot, the heating was on. You open the only window and then you’re awake feeling less secure as you’re on the bottom floor in the hotel, which is pretty much located in the middle of a great big industrial park. Oh and once the window is open, you can’t leave the curtain open a little because anyone walking past would be able to peek right in and watch you sleep!!
Being on an industrial park also meant 4:30am wake up call from the lorries driving past!
£80 including breakfast. Didn’t even attempt that as it wasn’t a ‘proper’ meal, was just continental.
Best thing about this stay was the bathroom. Bathroom was very posh, walk in shower!
What could’ve made the bathroom better was to perhaps have a non-slip mat in the shower and maybe something extra to prevent the water from spraying all over the place or to loosen the shower heads so the water can be directed towards the plug.
Extremely dangerous.
Following on from dangerous, we had been told upon check in that there was no night receptionist, but if we needed ‘help’ a staff member would be about on site. Thank God nothing happened, but there was no telephone in the room in case there was an emergency/we needed anything.

Good fun ruined by the bloke controlling the wind speed as he was on gambling games throughout instead of paying attention when asked to up the speed for people. Don’t get long in there and he made it less enjoyable.

Hotels near Bedford can be quite expensive mid week. I stayed here because my normal Holiday Inn Express was £140 and this was £62.

Superficially the accommodation is similar to Holiday Inn Express. They provide shower, toilet and double bed with free breakfast. However the reality is rather different. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable and there were 2 pathetic thin pillows. Holiday Inn beds are fantastic as are the comfortable pillows.

Breakfast was dire. By far the worst I have ever experienced. There was no hot food other than toast. There was no cheese or ham, only stale prepackaged croissants with marmalade, yoghurt, some fruit, and some cereals, plus bread which could be toasted. There were fruit juices and coffee/tea.

If you had time there was a health club with good facilities which would have made the stay more pleasant, but as a short stay business stopover, this place should be avoided unless you really need the low price.

Ged and the team give you a fun time in the wind tunnel ! Great experience - don't think about it just book it up and you'll be talking about it all week ! One of the experiences in life everyone should try. Many thanks.

Stayed here for 2 nights in a twin room, first of all I thought are we in the right place as it looks strange when you arrive and drive passed the security but overall once your there room, shower, TV ,bed was sound but a fan is needed in each room as we did not sleep very well as it was far to hot, the gym is ok the pool sauna and steam room are spot on, I would recommend it but ask them to supply a fan if you want to sleep
Safe and secure place
