I came upon this by chance while touting the east coast.
A fantastic private collection based on an old RAF base, overlooking the north sea.
Wonderful collection of artefacts and lots of old machinery.
Lovely little cafe overlooking the sea is a nice bonus.
Well worth a visit!

My son loves the museum and looking at all the tanks and other military vehicles. Unfortunately due to the early Easter season and the poor weather meant that the tank demonstration wasn't on, or the truck rides and the wet weather meant the plat area was not usable. Still didn't dampen the enjoyment, plus we were able to buy some WW2 items in the gift shop.

2nd visit. Still so much to see & learn about, not just the 2nd world war but all wars including The Falklands & later conflicts as well. A good day out for anybody with an interest in military things.

great day out, loads to look at and see, bad point - you cant use the café without paying full price. very bad for those wives not in the least interested in the military side but just want a cup of tea. I saw quite a few other wives sitting in the cars just waiting - this is silly and almost vindictive. all that money you could make from cream teas!!! get your act together.
