Great entertains commentary throughout the 2 bird flight displays, is possible to visit during bad weather, indoor play barn and picnic area. Short tractor ride with some history given about the estate, can't wait till the house is open to the public as well.

Our party was 2 adults, 5 year old twins and 2 grand parents. We have been for 3 years running now and intend to go every year for the forseeable future, it is that good.

So far we have not even made Appuldurcombe house. The owl and falconry displays are fabulous, best i have seen by far. Looking at the birds in-between the displays is also good fun. There is also a small softplay area in a barn that is improved every year and a small outside play area, also farm animals and small animals to hold. The restaurant is pleasant and child friendly.

This year they also added a tractor ride around the estate which was brilliant for children and adults alike, with the guide explaining the history of the estate and the kids just enjoying the ride and the stunning views.

All closes at 4pm, so time enough to pop home via a local beach for a spot of late evening sun :-)

Brilliant to see the money being put back into the estate. I would highly recommend this as a day out for anyone.

We really enjoyed this day out. It was combined with a Pirates and Smugglers afternoon so spent a good 5hrs there. Our kids loved the birds flying up close and the guy running it was witty and factual, thanx!

We spent a good few hours at the Owl and Falconry Centre and had an enjoyable time there (of this and Appuldurcombe House, it's clear that the OFC is the star attraction!)

It's the tours and talks that really make the attraction come alive. The American Bald Eagle soaring above the hills is truly a sight to behold - though it did seem a little distressed when it was tethered up before and after the display. Also don't forget to check out the children's farm at the top of the site.

The staff kindly looked after our luggage for us as we were en route back home afterwards. It wasn't the easiest place to get to by public transport because roadworks were disrupting bus services. We ended up walking there from Ventnor, which was quite pleasant.

One of the best days out we had on the island. The guy doing the bird demos was fantastic and told you real facts about how the birds catch prey etc not just useless info like some other attractions. So lovely to see an Eagle fly properly in the sky and spectacular to watch. Tractor ride was very informative and stunning views topped it off (we had fab weather) the kids also loved the play barn and farm animals. So lovely to see the money being put back into the estate. All in all would highly recommend for young & old.
