Hotel Andrea Doria offers Modern and Comfortable rooms with all facilities for a 4 star hotel. The location is excellent, just a short walk from beautiful beaches of Marina de Ragusa. Best Compliments to ''Atletico Farina'' restaurant.

We stayed for 11 nights on a bed and breakfast basis booked thru the website called 7 ideas.com which I had never heard of but had the best price for this hotel.
The staff are friendly and helpful but not much English spoken,
Martiza ( apologies if I've got spelling wrong) the receptionist had excellent English.
We had a room on the first floor with a distant view of the sea.
The bed was very large and very comfortable as were the pillows and very good quality cotton sheets.
Great shower, no bath. The room was cleaned very well every day by Denise.
Breakfast was good with some hot food as well as fruit, yogurt, cereal cheeses cold meat and some hot items as well as croissants and cake.
The hotel is small and well kept. The bar restaurant area by the pool is not very comfortable or inviting to relax but again staff who are young and sometimes quite inexperienced are very friendly and helpful.
We ate there once and found the food good but there are lots of places to try in the town.
The town centre about 15 to 20 mins very pleasant walk along the beach promenade is quiet and relaxing until the weekend when the population more than doubles with lots of families on the beach and out at night so the restaurants become very busy.
The biggest downfall we found with this hotel is no courtesy room for guests who have a late evening flight as we did to shower and change. We were offered our room to keep until 2pm with a cost of 50e for the extra 2 hours which was of little use to us as we had a 9pm flight and temperatures soared that day well into the 30s. The only facility available was the cold shower out by the pool with no privacy.
There are 2 large bathrooms 1 by reception the other off the breakfast room which could easily accommodate a shower cubicle and make life easier for guests that will be returning on the Ryanair 9pm flight from Comiso to Dublin which I'm sure will bring a lot more Irish visitors to the hotel and area.

We took two rooms for our family of 4, which were right next door to one another. Rooms are comfortable, but not luxurious, which is more than fair for the price paid. Room facilities are good, with decent air conditioning, a safe, clean bathroom with toiletries and hairdryer. There is satellite tv, but we couldn't find English speaking news, so we left that off! The lady that cleaned our rooms was really lovely and made sure we were happy each day with the cleaning. Each room has a balcony with table and chairs, which was more of a partial sea view, as the hotel is across the street from the beach.

Breakfast was a big surprise. For the price paid, we expected a basic breakfast, but it was really good! Fresh juices, a nespresso machine, breads, cheeses, cold meats, fruit, cakes, pastries - loads! The hotel also offers free afternoon snacks for those on B&B, but we never managed to take advantage of this as we were always saving ourselves for dinner!

Hotel facilities are also good, but suspect we were lucky as we stayed midweek and had the swimming pool to ourselves most of the time. Reception has pool towels available for people like us who never pack them! Being early summer, not everything was open, but we just had to ask if we wanted anything and it would be done.

All the hotel staff we encountered were friendly and helpful - the chambermaid I already mentioned, the lady in charge of organising breakfast, the breakfast chef and especially Marzia at reception. We had a million questions for Marzia and she answered each one patiently, helpfully and in perfect English. Note that not everyone in Marina di Ragusa can speak English, so some improvisation is required if you don't speak Italian.

We definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. The only thing we would do differently is that we would rent a car. We didn't as we had no idea what the driving was like. In reality it would have been totally fine and would have saved us money in taxis. There is ample free parking at the rear of the hotel.

Wanted a long weekend getaway and Andrea Doria has proved to be a relaxing and peaceful hotel. The fact that it is 15min enjoyable stroll on the pretty promenade along the beach means it's location it's quiet but easily accessible from town square
Everyone is very friendly and helpful
Great restaurant and pizza for dinner
Nice breakfast with plenty of food
Rooms are spacious comfortable and clean
Would definitely recommend
Small town but lots of choice of restaurants and bars offering great variety of fantastic sicilian cuisine
We will be back again
Thanks Andrea Doria and marina di Ragusa
