I booked this condo thru Coastline Realty via phone. It was not booked thru
their website. I spoke three times with a representative from Coastline Realty
before I booked it and explained the importance of ocean front . I was assured it
was total oceanfront on the third floor. When we arrived I could see only a small
section of the ocean from afar and one level below the first floor. From our balcony all I could see were tall dunes and parking lot, and huge tennis court. My contract in writing marked it also as oceanfront. When I confronted the realty company they more or less said so sad too bad. It was legal to classify it has oceanfront because the land was oceanfront. What jerks

“Okay Place in Need of Serious Maintenence and Updates”
Reviewed June 4, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Close to the beach and relatively clean are the nicest things to be said about this unit. In reality you can find nice accomidations on Topsail for the same price point. Master bedroom bathroom needs updated or atleast a new showerhead and tup drain runs dismally slow. Bedroom itself is a good size but furniture is tired and old as it is throughout the unit. TVs through out the unit are CRT, it would likely at this point be more challenging to dispose of these relics than it would be to replace them with flat screens. Kitchen mircowave handle is held on by ductape and there was a mysterious screen door just setting on the deck.

“Close to the beach”
Reviewed June 2, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

The St. Regis Community has seen better days. They upkeep in the community overall is prettt lacking. The unit was kept clean enough, although it could use a deep clean and updated fixtures as there was a screen door left on our porch unattached. The unit is adjacent to the elevator hydrolics therefore everytime someone uses the elevator you can hear it. The restaurant at the resort offered poor service. Overall, a decent stay due to the proximity of the beach. However, I will probably book another property next time.

“Located next to elevator mechanical room!”

The condo was pleasantly clean (although the floors could use a good scrubbing) and nicely decorated. The owners care for their property well. However, you will not sleep! Every time the elevator is active there is a loud noise directly behind the walls of the two main bedrooms. Property managers do not turn the elevators off at any point so the sound continues all night long. It was not a restful vacation as I had hoped. Never again. As a metter of fact I will never return to the St. Regis Resort. It is exceptionally outdated and lacks any personality.

How easy was it to book the property? How helpful were the directions to the property?
How easy was key pickup/access to the property? Overall condition of the property
Bedding & mattresses Kitchen & utensils
Bathroom cleanliness Other facilities & amenities
Liked best: The beach access.
Liked least: The elevator noise.

Management Response

We are so sorry the elevator was a nuisance to you during your stay. We understand you were staying on a first floor unit and the elevator was probably not very important in your case however for the guests staying on upper floors it is very important. I would suggest if you make a return trip you may ask the reservationists where the elevators are in relation to the particular unit you are inquiring about. This could very easily solve that problem for you. As far as the St Regis itself, we feel it is well kept even though it was constructed in the late 80's. The exterior was completely re-done about 5 years ago and all the grounds look very nice and are well maintained. The Homeowners Association is very diligent in making improvements and keeping the development up to date, however with all oceanfront developments they face harsh elements with the salt air environment.
We appreciate your visit and hope you will come again and hopefully we can solve the elevator issue outside your door.
