Morley church is full of history with links to the sitwell and schaveral families. Te stained glass windows are very interesting. In the churchyard is a mauseleum which is well worth a visit, this is usually open on summer saturdays, but do phone first to make sure that the church will be open.

We visited this church because we had seen that the Bateman Mausoleum chapel was going to be open. A lovely lady gave us a very interesting talk about the chapel and then we had a look inside the church. Nikolaus Pevsner calls Morley "the most rewarding place in the country to study late medieval stained glass" because the church has a fantastic collection of glass in the north aisle. In addition, there are several interesting tombs and memorial brasses. This place is a "must" for any church enthusiast.

The Communion service was very special and was well attended.
Lovely Easter hymns and inspirational preaching. It was lovely to see the Sunday School children each receiving the gift of a book.
Then there were Easter eggs for everyone. Thank you
