Everything from when I arrived in Douz to the end of my trip was well organized by Juanita and the cameleers she works with. I took a night bus from Tunis and Juanita was gracious enough to let me sleep in her house for a few hours before we left for the trek.

What most people don't know is that for a multiday trek, camels are sent a day or more in advance so you get more bang for your buck instead of riding through semi-arid shrubs, therefore a better experience for customers. Every meal we had were amazing and it was touching to get to know the cameleers and their camel babies. We learned traditional dances and listened to Bedouin music under the Milky Way. That is a surreal experience I'll remember no matter how many countries I travel to in the future.

The tourism industry in Tunisia, especially Southern Tunisia, needs our boosting due to negative press in recent years, and it was awesome to see money actually pouring into the cameleer's families instead of the unknown blackhole of a travel agency. Hope to see the people of Southern Tunisia flourish

I booked with two of my firends who came from Switzerland for a " one night in the desert" , we had an incredible journey starting from a 4x4 drive followed by a camel ride in the middle of nowhere, surrounded only by sand dunes that stretched as far as the eye could see, and finally we camped in the desert where we had the pleasure to taste Makki's cooking, laugh at Mouhamed's jokes and riddles, witness Ali's dancing techniques, and gaze at the magnificent night sky. It was an oportunity to discover the desert wildlife, flora, lifestyle and culture.
We were more than well treated. We thank Juanita and her team. Everything was well organized, the only bad thing is that it was just a single night, you would want it to last more.

We went with Juanita on 3 days desert tour/trek. This was bespoke tour that does not feature in the website, Juanita is very flexible and very professional, her plans are top notch and she leaves nothing to chance.
We spent 2 days visiting villages, cities and historical sites in 4X4 cars, spent one night in cave hotel in berber village (Chenini) and a second night in hotel in Douz, then went for sahara trek the 3rd day.
The atmosphere was great, Juanita had for us some surprises in her sleeves and her team were very nice, helpful and very accommodating and we really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely go back again, probably in December for 3 days Sahara trek or maybe even 8 days because the desert experience was amazing even thought it was one day only.

Had an incredible four days touring through Southern Tunisia with Juanita and her team. From an amazing camel trek in the Sahara to experiencing the culture with the locals it was a holiday filled with so much adventure that we didn't want to end. Juanita went out of her way to make it all the more enjoyable while our driver Ali was ever so friendly. Have been lucky to do some great trips since we left New Zealand and this one is right up near the top!

We have just returned from a wonderful experience with Juanita and her team, touring the sites of southern Tunisia, including a night in the Sahara. I cannot speak highly enough of what a great tour it was. Juanita took care of all of the details from accommodation to meals to attractions and we could not have asked for a better guide to the history and culture of this wonderful land. The nights in the desert and also in the mountain caves of Chenini were absolutely a highlight. However the stopovers at the various sites from the StarWars movies were also fun and very interesting. The whole thing was outstanding.
