“2nd visit, still as good”

We recently had a second stay at the Boathouse, it was as good as our first visit. The forest was a lot quieter than last time (due to roadworks nearby, that didnt affect our stay). The cottage is still in very good condition, the fittings/equipment were excellent. The owner Giles and his caretaker Bethan are always available to help with any queries. If you are looking for a great rental property for your holiday, then this is it.

“A great place”

This is a little gem of a cottage and I would highly recommend it. The decor is modern and lovely. It's location is superb - secluded in the forest but close to lots of local attractions.
We walked and cycled from the door of the cottage, visited beaches, rode on trains, all in glorious sunshine! So much to do we could easily have stayed for 2 weeks.
Dishwasher and washing machine are superb added extras for a holiday cottage
Easy to find with directions - even for the ASDA delivery man.
Whilst there is no WiFi we could get reception outside the cottage so there was no problem getting on the internet and getting messages.
Would love to come back.

What a wonderful place to stay, secluded but not to far from all the amenities needed. Stayed with a group of friends for a special birthday celebration, what a fantastic time we had. The boathouse is well equipped for all needs and was very clean. The steam train runs not far from the house which is lovely as you can here it tooting in the distance which gives you time to run to the door to see it. There is a lovely country pub which is only a ten minute walk away which does really nice food and very reasonable. Lovely countryside to explore right on the doorstep, you wont be disappointed if you rented this lovely holiday getaway.

Booked this to bring some friends from South Wales back home with me to North Wales to show them where I was brought up (not far from the Boathouse!). Had an amazing time, the property is fantastic (very remote but something I was used to growing up!). I cannot fault anything about the property and Bethan who looks after the property is amazing, so helpful and accomodating. Please book this you won't be dissapointed. We had two 9 year old girls with us and they didn't want to leave!

The property is just as it looks in the photos; very well decorated , clean ,furnished to high standard and with all mod cons. It is warm and the beds are comfortable. There is plenty of room for eight people. The lady who looks after the house was very helpful. We enjoyed our stay there.
