We stayed two nights, breakfast and dinner are excellent, which are served in dining room. The food delicious and the servers attentive. There are two set of onsen - upstairs (for M/W) and at the floor level (rotated for M/W). I like the one upstairs - which are open for visitor, as they are newer facility than the floor level.

Room (understandably) a bit dated but very spacious - we stayed at room with beds (instead of futon). This hotel appears to be the crown jewel of Asahi-dake.

We stayed at this hotel before going to Furano.

It took about an hour from the Asahikawa station,so the access was not good. The final start of dinner time is 6:30 p.m. ,so you should reach hotel beforehand.

The dinner was excellent . The cold soup poured into the cutting half melon was very delicious. Of course you could eat juicy melon. Big abalone steamed in the salt dome was very tender. Most surprising dish was spring water jelly. I have never eaten such a dish. Shabu-shabu used deer meat was awesome. By and large, the quantity was just right.

the hot spring at the hotel was very good. The water was flowing directly from the hot spring source, and because of the difficult access, it`s known as a preservation hotel of secret hot spring . There are two hot spring facilities ,so we can select which to get into.
I got into the 「water of gods」at night,and the 「water of Yukoman」in the morning.
Both of them are made of wood and tasteful. Open air water in the morning was feeling good.

The environs around the hotel was nothing,so we had a good sleep.

Next morning ,we had a typical Japanese breakfast.
That was awesome, too. Boiled tofu and raw egg mixed with white rice was impressive.

My partner taught me that this hotel is a home
of famous Japanese snowboard player , Tomoka Takeuchi.
I cheered her in the Sochi olympic,so we looked on the exhibition room in the hotel. There were many snowboard instruments ,used by her ,and moments in the room. The next winter olympic is coming soon,so I decide to cheer her more and more.

This hotel was not near from the Asahikawa city, but the car drive to the hotel was scenery.
On our back way,we took a photo at the lake of Chubetsu.

We had a great summer vacation, thank you.

If you are into onsen, this hotel has many onsen pools for you to try! The oldest one is since 1951. Very traditional luxurious onsen stay for me & hubby! Very close to the Asahidake ropeway to see the peak of Mt Daisetsuzan. Driving took 1min only.

There is free spring water for all to take. Dinner (especially the melon soup) & breakfast are good too. Worth the stay. Can hear the flowing stream outside when we open the window. The window screen helps to block the insects from coming in while cold air comes in.

We stayed here for 4 nights in a Japanese style room. The food was excellent, with full description in English of what is on the menu. We had dinner and breakfast as part of our package, well worth it. Very friendly staff and pleasant onsen. Very convenient location for the ropeway, though of course it's best to drive here.

We spent one night here during our trip through Hokkaido. The hotel is very nice and the staff very friendly. Dinner and breakfast were both very good quality. There was an English translation of our menu and in the morning even some tips how to prepare some dishes that were not fully complete. The onsens are very nice and there are different ones so you can explore them all. Highly recommended!
