Excellently located with everything required supplied. The staff were very helpful and accommodative. Breakfast was perfect for stocking up on energy before a big day of skiing! Free wifi was also a big bonus. I would definitely stay here again.

The Rooms
Look the rooms are small and the bathroom is tiny but this is Japan and you have to expect that. They however clean, comfy beds and enough storage space. If you're over 6 foot you will struggle in the bathroom but you can manage.
Downstairs
There's a great lounge area which is also the breakfast spot. Food is good, a couple of snack options at night and cheap drinks. There's also another downstairs with pool table etc and a beer vendor machine.
People
Very friendly and helpful which you need as it takes a little while to work out where everything is and how to get to things.
Skiing
The skiing is great with plenty of options of different places to ski all with a 15 min bus ride.
Overall
Great price and would definitely recommend. We had 10 guys on boys trip and everyone had an awesome time.

Room Tip: Remember this is low cost, clean, comfy accommodation and hence rated based on that type of place.

Pros
-The room was a good size (for a couple, adn for Japan) and we found it well equipt, loved the huge list of free dvd's to watch, the bed was huge and very comfortable and warm

-The bathrooms are tiny, but practical.

-Great lounge area.

-Good breakfast spread, although it could of had some healither options, ie brown bread, fruit etc.

- Location is great, close to both shuttle bus stops, and great resturaunts, we would highly recommend Alaska Burger for a cheap and tasty dinner. One of the best burgers I have ever eaten.

-Jaime, Adam and Koko were great, they gave us all the information we needed, including which resorts were best to ski at, and what buses to catch, they also helped organise a private onsen across the road, which is definately worth doing after a long day on the slopes. And were generally really friendly and willing to help.

-very reasonably priced.

- great drying room

Cons
-The Japanese Pension style of the hotel means that soundproofing doesnt really exist, so be prepared for a 2 am wake up call if noisy guests are also staying.

- there is a strange towel replacement fee. Which considering they have free washing machine service seems odd, and extremely pricey for the size of the towels provided.

other than that I cant really think of any other reason why I wouldnt stay here. We had a fantastic time.

Hope you do too.

I loved the atmosphere, the staff were relaxed, helpful, friendly and efficient. The facilities first class, clean and tidy. I would have no problem recommending Blue Dragon to anyone, looking to visit Hakuba.

We have been traveling to the Blue Dragon for the past couple of years now. It has become our home away from home. Great down to Earth and friendly staff who are very helpful and informational. The rooms are clean, comfortable and include a great perk, an in-room bathroom! The location is fantastic with close shuttle stops and a quick walk to an upbeat nightlife scene. We have to say the lounge is a great place to relax after a day on the slopes. You won't regret booking a room!

We have been travelling up to Hakuba for a couple of years now and the Blue Dragon has been the best place we have stayed by far. The service and attmosphere are great with real down to earth people who genuinely care about your experience. The location is great with easy access to the shuttle that will take you to Happo, 47, or Goru in just a few minutes. Highly recommend it!

Room Tip: Just call and they should be able to set you up with what you are looking for exactly.

We had a fantastic time at the Blue Dragon. Clean, good sized rooms, great people working there. The staff were excellent in helping us with local information on the best mountains to ski that day, good restaurants, booking tours etc. Thanks Jaime!

With the shops an easy walk from the Blue Dragon and bus stops really close, it was a great location for us!

We would definitely be go back again.
