I'm embarrassed to say that during our 5 days in Yakushima, we ate here three times!
...But it was delicious and we had to load up on fresh, quality sushi before heading home to Canada!
Our server was so friendly and outgoing. She was patient (as we used our very broken Japanese) and took the time to explain what we were eating with her picture book and genuinely seemed interested in practicing her English with us.
We tried the local sushi and sashimi sets, the kamenotes, the flying fish, and the small fish tempura (I can't remember the name but they were excellent)! The "shibi" (baby tuna) was always our favourite - but it was all so, so good. We loved the Yakushima-style soy sauce and the local ginger cocktail too!
Please enjoy a meal here when you are visiting -- you won't be disappointed.
