We went here after checking into JR hotel. We were recommended to drive all the way back to Anbo for dinner because there was nothing good nearby. WRONG!! This little restaurant is a hidden gem. Walking in is like entering old Japan. Take your shoes off and go to sit on a cushion on the tatami floors and served by a delightful lady who I assume owns the place. She was gorgeous and helpful even though we don't speak Japanese and she doesn't speak English. The food came out quickly and was delicious. Fried flying fish was the star and a whole lot of smaller sides to accompany it. A great little find close to the hotel with no need to drive far away. If you don't go here while you stay at JR it's your loss!
