“Relax and recouperate in beautuful surroundings”
Reviewed November 17, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

A warm welcome awaited our arrival. A quick informative tour of the property meant we knew how everything worked and then we were set to enjoy a wonderful week The cottage has everything you need and is very clean and well cared for. The owners are wonderful and really care about you having a fantastic stay. It's location is ideal for trips to Skipton and all the surrounding beautiful countryside. We will definitely return to this haven.

“Fabulous!”
Reviewed November 16, 2015 for a stay in November 2015

We stayed at Great Gibb for three nights and for once I can say that we were almost glad to have wet and stormy weather because it gave us the perfect excuse to enjoy the warm, cosy, beautifully designed and decorated accommodation. The views out of the window are splendid and inside Andy and Ann have spared no effort in making the place somewhere that you want to be.The welcome dish of scones and jam was lovely and simply a portent of good things to come. There are good places to eat nearby and of course the excellent Skipton with its market, tea shops and castle. We feel as though we have been on retreat (with wine) and have come home delighted by our experience.

“The perfect place to unwind, experience total peace.”
Reviewed August 26, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

When we arrived you immediately felt welcome as Ann had left a plate of warm scones, with a cup of tea we sat and took in the lovely view from the sitting room. To say the cottage was clean is an understatement it was immaculate. The reclining sofa was just perfect after a day's shopping/walking. There is a lovely grass area to sit outside and take in the scenery. Don't be put off by the driveway it's part of the fun. This is one of the best cottages we have stayed in and we have stayed in quite a few. At night all you hear are the owls occasionally and silence. The best sleep ever. There are lots to do and lovely walks. We are already planning our next visit.

“A hidden gem in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales”
Reviewed June 15, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

I spent a sunny weekend staying at Great Gib Cottage and used it as my base to discover the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage is part of a converted barn and next door to the owners. You gain access down a long track ( which is a bit bumpy but my little fiesta managed it so don't worry ) The downstairs has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom, second floor is the living room and fully furnished kitchen, upstairs is another bathroom. It has recently been redecorated and has a real clean fresh feel. You are surrounded by countryside and get great views from the cottage garden, plus there is loads of space for kids to play. For cyclists, hikers or casual walkers this is a great place to base yourself. I do not know the area very well but was able to find lovely country pubs and good restaurants and the owners were on hand to offer recommendations.
