“Beautiful Accommodation”
Reviewed December 2, 2013 for a stay in November 2013

My girlfriend and I booked a weekend away to celebrate my 30th Birthday. We wanted a relaxing time away somewhere cosy. The accommodation was perfect, it had everything we required: wood burner, hot tub, beautifully presented, clean, modern but cosy. You won't be disappointed.

We will certainly be back in 2014!

Happy 30th Birthday, we are delighted you chose Willows Barn to spend your special day with your girlfriend and we would be thrilled for you to return this year for another relaxing and cosy time. The presentation of Willows Barn is so important to us and we are so glad you found everything perfect and enjoyed the woodburner and the hot-tub. Somehow the Suffolk skies are even more beautiful when you are relaxing in the tub with an unspoilt view. We have added some further decoration around the hot-tub recently and will upload the pictures soon. Thankyou again for your lovely review.

“Our luxury Suffolk break”
Reviewed November 7, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Willows Barn is an exceptionally well-appointed holiday retreat - quiet and yet within walking distance of the attractive town of Framlingham. The Suffolk coast is within easy reach.

Everything in the accommodation is to the highest standard. The owners have taken great care to ensure a comfortable stay.

The owners are very pleasant and showed great concern that our stay was everything that we would wish.

Thankyou so much for your kind words. We enjoyed meeting you both very much and were glad that you found Willows Barn so comfortable and luxurious. It is a nice walk from the barn to Framlingham which is so attractive and has numerous pretty buildings and some great cafes, restaurants, delicatessen/butchers and interesting shops. We are pleased you enjoyed the walk and your holiday in Willows Barn. Our best wishes to you both.

“luxury in beautiful suffolk”
Reviewed October 24, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Ros thinks of everything to make your stay perfect.

We had a comprehensive pre-arrival pack, and when we arrived found cakes & biscuits, plus a bottle of local wine chilling in the fridge.

The barn is big, stylish, well appointed & very comfortable. The underfloor heating was enough for us, but there is a woodburner if required.

Ros & Kevin are at the end of the drive, or the phone, in case of any queries or questions.

The barn is well-placed for Framlingham with it's castle, coffee shops, & shops to cover most other needs. Coastal Suffolk is a short drive away (we liked Aldeburgh, Thorpness, & Southwold; all have an air of sleepy sophistication, reminiscent of a bygone age).

Woodbridge is also worth a visit. And there are many antique shops within 30 minutes drive.

Overall, we had the most lovely relaxing week in Willows Barn and are planning to go back next summer.

We are so glad you found the comprehensive pre-arrival pack useful, this includes previous guest comments, where to go/what to do, information about Willows Barn and the surrounding area of Framlingham as well as travel directions. We will add a section about the antique shops which, as you mentioned, are very tasteful. We are glad you enjoyed the homebaked cakes and treats of biscuits and wine from a local vineyard. The underfloor heating is so cosy underfoot and we area always lay the woodburner for guests so it is ready to light as soon as you arrive. We'd love for you to return again this summer - the new addition of the "hot-tub" is just outside the barn and perfect after a day out. We hope to welcome you soon.

“Absolutely perfect - cannot recommend it enough.”

I have stayed at Willows Barn twice - first for a "babymoon" two months before our daughter was born and then with our baby when she was six months old. Both trips were absolutely heavenly!
The barn has been converted so that it's both homely and luxurious - everything you could need is there to make your stay perfectly relaxing and Ros (the owner) could not be more helpful should you need it. The barn is secluded and you are completely separate from the owner's house.
The HUGE bed is incredibly comfy, with beautiful linen that was perfect to sink into. The roll top bath in the bedroom is fantastic - deep and relaxing, although getting out of it when 7 months pregnant was interesting!
We didn't need the woodburning stove as it was lovely and warm both times we stayed, but the thought of snuggling up on the comfy sofa in front of the stove is very tempting and certainly something we'll be planning to do on our next visit there.
On our second trip with our young daughter, Ros provided a travel cot and a high chair which was really helpful.
The area around Framlingham and the town itself is beautiful and well worth a visit - Aldeburgh is one of my favourite seaside towns, with the best fish and chips I've ever eaten.
In short, I cannot recommend Willows Barn enough - it is perfect for a long or short break, and has everything you could wish for. We will definitely be going back!
