“A really nice cosy chalet in a lovely area”
Reviewed January 5, 2016 for a stay in January 2016

When we arrived the chalet had the heating on and there was a decorative Christmas tree and even mistletoe on the doorway. A plate of delicious cookies were left in the kitchen for us.

The chalet had a full size kitchen with cooker, fridge and microwave. The heating was good and we never felt cold. There is no wi-fi and a weak phone signal. The chalet is big enough for 4 people with two sleeping on the sofa bed. Please note that you have to take your own sheets, pillow cases and duvet cover. This isn't obvious from the info on-line, but Penny told me by email. You pay extra if she supplies the bedding.

The Chalet is centrally placed not far from Framlingham with easy access to the coast and towns. It is quite a long walk into Framlingham, but the Chalet is nice for quiet evenings in.

I would rent again.

We stayed here for our 25th Wedding Anniversary, it is a lovely chalet comfortable and well decorated. The owner is very friendly and helpful and left us some cake for our arrival.
It was so quiet and convenient for all the local towns and coast. There are good local pubs serving very good food. Hope to go back again someday as it is only an hours drive from Essex.

“open fields and lots of stars”

Rural location with quiet road to Framlingham within walking distance but no footpath or streetlighting. A million stars at night, it's years since I saw the milky way. The chalet is one of a pair with everything we needed bedroom, living room, dining kitchen and shower room without all the pretentious add-ons, dishwashers, spar baths, massive TVs and utensils you can't identify. Good location for touring and everything is just so pretty. Framlingham has a nice town square with a weekly market and an evening walk around the mere just as the sun sets on the castle walls is a must. Yes it was a lovely stay and the price was very reasonable. (Scottish /Yorkshire blood always appreciates a bargain) Just one thing to remember bring your own bedding includes sheets, pillows, duvet and covers but Penny will supply if you request.

Liked best: Seclusion and peacfulness and open fields behind. Pets allowed but there are kennels so property dog free.
Liked least: Having to chase up the deposit but this was Tripadvisor not Penny.

“Little hidden gem”
Reviewed July 5, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

A lovely peaceful little chalet and whilst basic has everything you need.
A great welcome from Penny and even some homemade cakes.
Suffolk is a beautiful county and this chalet is situated in the countryside but within walking distance of the small town of Framlingham.
Would definitely return and recommend to family and friends.
