Everything you need local pubs shops ect and beautiful castle in small town.
Accommodation spot on. Thanks
We absolutely loved it here, accommodation was very cosy and pet friendly.Penny the owner had thought of everything, tea coffee ,t towels, books DVDs etc .A car is needed to get out and about to the lovely little villages etc .But there are some lovely walks down the country lanes and through the fields (Archie the chihuahua loved the freedom).
Penny made herself known and welcomed us during our stay ensuring all was ok . Would definitely recommend and would love to go back ,(but having taken our granddaughter aged 6yrs and although she had taken her bike, I would take a few outdoor games, balls , swing balls etc to play with ,as garden was ideal ,private and child friendly. As I did not see any local parks, but this is purely a personal point of view .
Great little chalet. Immaculately clean. Good outdoor areas for our two beagles, both enjoyed their morning and evening swims in the lake, just a short walk from the chalet, much needed in the blistering heat of the weather during our stay. Overall a lovely little chalet in beautiful surroundings.
Fuchsia chalet is actually at Saxtead Bottom , opposite the riding stables.
You really need transport to get around due to its rural location. Having said that it is a lovely rural retreat that has made us relax and enjoy the peace and local wildlife!
The chalet is well equipped and was pleasantly cosy for us as a couple. We did quite a lot of exploring the beautiful area and would recommend a visit to the Shawgate vineyard and Framlingham Castle.
Penny the owner was easily contactable and thoughtful, having dropped over with citronella candles to abate the flies! ...in abundance because of the weather!
Would revisit!
Lovely quiet rural Location and a great location to visit Suffolk's many attractions,
Good value for money, clean and well looked after and it was nice to able to sit out
In the evenings.
