We stayed in the Island House for four nights for a nephew's wedding which was to be on the neach below the house. We found the booking process easy, although needed to organise a bank draft for the 50% deposit-would have preferred to use a credit card. Mark, the owner, was very helpful and quite laid back;some things happen "in Bali-time", so the food we ordered was not waiting for us, but arrived later that day. However, the villa was a delightful surprise and the advertised pictures did it justice. We had staff who were around, including a housekeeper who made our breakfasts and tidies the rooms, gardeners who kept the lawns clear of leaves and there was also night security on site. The air conditioning was astruggling in one room, but coped ok. Mark said he would have it serviced, anyway. The one surprise is that the showers were all outside, so be prepared for the odd awkward moment if the gardener is about!
The view is to die for and the pool is clean and refreshing and there are many places to laze around in both inside and outside. Staff were very helpful and were able to organise transport for us if we needed to hire any. Mind you, Mark also owns the Beach Club, a short walk away where meals, drinks and courtesy transport is always available.
We would return and be thoroughly looking forward to it!More
