“We loved the 5 star 'Lago' life.”

We were recommended this Villa by a friend in Australia, a regular visitor to Nusa Lembongan. Although never having stayed there herself, she told us that it had the best position on the island, and looked fabulous. Well she was correct on both counts. For all seven of us, two families with adult children, it was our first time in Nusa Lembongan, and we loved the island, so much like the 'old' Bali that we knew from our visits over 30 years ago. The 'icing on the cake' however, was our our luck in choosing Villa Lago which we all agreed was a wonderful place in which to spend Christmas week, and though seemingly quite pricey by Lembongan standards, was actually worth every rupiah. Villa Lago is actually even better than the photos and description on their web site, and I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable, spacious and well designed the villa was.
The staff, who are there to look after you, we're just wonderful, very happy and obliging, who went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible, with seemingly nothing too much trouble for them. Apart from the wonderful breakfast's ( that are included in the tariff) that they prepared for us each morning, we used them to cook dinner for us most nights, including on a Christmas Eve a banquet of 'Baba Guling' ( suckling pig) a Balinese speciality.
The large, comfortable, and tastefully furnished indoor/ outdoor lounge, dining, living area overlooks the pool and the surf breaks.
The sleeping accommodation consists of four bedrooms, all of which are large and comfortable with fantastic views over the bay and the surf breaks. My wife and I chose the bedroom on the left hand side of the property( looking out to sea) which had the most sensational indoor/outdoor bathroom at the rear, with a large freestanding bath in the garden. At the front, there was a small private garden, with views of the ocean beyond.
The property was extremely well cared for and kept spotlessly clean by the staff. At night, you'll be reassured to know that a 'night-watchman' arrives around 10 or 11 pm, who discreetly spends the night at the property to make sure that you and everything is safe and secure ( Although this is Bali, and crime, even petty crime, is rare here).
Are there any negatives that I haven't told you about? Actually, no, there aren't, except maybe, that eventually you have to pack up and leave this wonderful place.
Would I recommend the place to friends? Absolutely! In fact, my wife and I, with another couple, are already planning to return to Villa Lago later this year, but this time for longer than a week.

“Complete luxury and total relaxation”

We have just discovered the magic of Nusa Lembongan.

If like us, you are looking for something more authentic, without the traffic and crowds of Seminyak and still providing excellent food and restaurants - then you must go to Nusa Lembongan and you MUST stay at Villa Lago. Pip the owner was a pleasure to deal with and we knew straight away that we were in for something special.

Upon arrival at Villa Lago, we were absolutely blown away - it was so beautiful (it really has wow++ factor) and the location is without doubt the best on the island. We immediately felt a sense of calm as we entered what would be our home for the next 8 days. I did have some anxious moments prior, knowing my husband and I would love the villa - but would my 2 teenagers (15 boy and 17 girl) feel the same? I knew straight away they were going to love this and LOVE Lembongan.

The villa manager Kadek and the staff are fabulous and always willing to organise and recommend things for us to do. We swam with Manta rays, went surfing, snorkeling, rock jumping, hired motor bikes, a buggy and parasailing. After exhausting ourselves reading by the pool every afternoon or simply soaking up the awesome view, we would wander down the path to one of the many good restaurants.. Our favorite was Muntigs - The Deck, Sandy Bay Beach Club and Indiana. A stroll back to the villa and home to bed in our air-conditioned sanctuary.

Needless to say, 8 days just washed over us and we were in heaven. Like all good holidays, we were sad to leave but also felt completely happy with our choice of Villa Lago and the beautiful island of Nusa Lembongan. Still dreaming of it.

This villa is in a prime location - close to the main area (restaurants, spas etc) and with a beach on your doorstep. Pippa was a gem - organising private transfers for our family from Bali and arranging some special dinners while we were there. The villa is magic and meant we had an incredible, relaxing holiday.

Thank you!

This was by far the best place we have ever stayed. Immaculate luxurious Villa with everything you need. Amazing rooms, views and of course the staff are what makes this heaven on earth!
So relaxing from the minute you walk up the steps to see the beautiful infinity pool overlooking the ocean surf breaks. Beach one minute walk down the steps.
Kadek, the manager will assist you to organize any activities your wish. We had a great day snorkelling at different spots for a very reasonable price.
The staff made us a beautiful breakfast each day and also a few lunches and dinners at our request. Food was very reasonable and tasty, especially the Nasi Goreng!
Could not fault one thing about this whole experience.

We stayed here for 3 nights with 3 other couples . From the moment you are greeted at the beach to when you are farewelled at the end of your stay everything was amazing and perfect . Each couple has their own beautiful room with private outdoor bathroom ( some had baths) two of the rooms are actually detached from the main area. If you can score one of these go for it . We also had wonderful people looking after us with a choice of cooked breakfast . Anything your heart desires they would arrange for you. Private massages can be arranged you don't even have to go anywhere as there is a massage room at the villa . Cost of 1 hour massage approx $15 AUD. we also went on a half day snorkelling trip again we only paid $15 AUD for half a day on a private boat. We didn't even have to go far to get the boat, just a few steps to the beach. This place is not cheap but if you go with friends and split the bill it's comparable with a 5 start resort. It's worth every cent. This was the highlight of our 10 day Bali holiday

“Luxury Island Paradise!”

Villa Lago is nothing short of first class luxury, located in a jaw-dropping, prime location on Nusa Lembongan Island. We could have stayed here for weeks!
This was the first time we holidayed on the island & boy, did Villa Lago set the bar high!
From the moment the staff - Kadek, Reni, Eni & Kadek, met us as we got off the boat, to the service & support they provided throughout our 5 night stay - they were truly exceptional & made this such a memorable holiday for us & our 3 daughters.
The villa itself is stunning & so very comfortable on all fronts. Beautifully designed with enough privacy between each of the rooms, we all had plenty of space to spread out & enjoy time either on our own or together in different areas of the villa.
The decor was beautifully put together with every touch being very considered.
The pool was spectacular overlooking the ocean & we loved that the owners shaded part of it with an umbrella, with another section naturally shaded by a tree.
The location is just fantastic & it was so easy to walk to the main restaurants in the bay or walk down some steps outside the villa door to hire paddle boards or surfboards.
We couldn't fault Villa Lago at all & would absolutely recommend this villa to anyone from couples to families, wanting a quiet, luxurious & quite simply a memorable holiday on Nusa Lembongan Island.
We can't wait to get back there!

A beautiful Nusa Lembongan experience at Villa Lago...
We received a warm welcome from the lovely staff with cold towels & freshly squeezed tropical juice.
The view will take your breath away, the villa, pool & surrounding gardens are stunning. All the rooms are very spacious & beautifully appointed - each has its own special ambience. The bathrooms are divine - perfect for the tropical climate.
We all enjoyed a massage in the villa's massage room, delicious food, great weather, a perfect surf break, snorkelling through schools of tropical fish - it doesn't get any better than this.
