We recently visited this restaurant three times including for Sunday lunch. It is a very well run establishment with excellent friendly service and offering an impressive range of first class courses at an acceptable price. It deserves fully the reputation which it has earned since opening

Just over a week's stay in the Algarve and three visits to Monica's must mean something! We enjoyed a warm welcome [the fire] and a comfortable indoor table at this time of year. The food and service again was exemplary. So attentive, it's almost too tempting to drink too much wine. Sunday lunch was relaxing, traditional engish roast with apple crumble for dessert. Starters of either tapas to share or the delicious scallops and pate were tasty and beautifully portioned. Main course of fillet steak and jumbo prawn were delicious and both tasty and easy to eat. Dessert this time, sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and a caramel sauce with pecans - Yumm. We will be back in March.

Just back from another excellent lunch. Selection of breads with balsamic, garlic carrots. We shared a tapas of crispy squid with aioli, chicken liver terrine and chorizo with potato. Main courses of fillet steak served with a peppercorn sauce, hand cut fries and a mixed salad. No room for dessert, finished with coffee and petite fours. Excellent welcome and service from Monica and Luis. Great atmosphere and good to see the restaurant fairly busy on a Thursday lunchtime in January.
