“Home from home”
Reviewed 25 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Back from Villa Tessia early August , could not ask for a better villa to stay, home from home comforts , very peaceful location , we rented a car for two weeks of our stay , only 10-15 mins drive to beaches , with Argostoli capital around 7 miles away , would recommend this holiday Villa to anyone wishing for a peacefull relaxing holiday but still not far away from good amenities . Thanks again to David , Paul and Nicky

“Best Holiday Lettings villa ever.”

Just returned from a two week stay at this lovely villa and have to say that having stayed at various Holiday Lettings and Owners Direct villas over the years in both Greece and France this was definitely the best equipped and maintained ever.
The villa and outside pool and garden area were spotless, the furniture, bedding and towels were all of a good standard. The bedrooms were a good size overall the property is just lovely no problems at all. Paul the maintenance chap came twice a week to clean the pool and organised an engineer to come and reconnect the wifi which we were unable to do initially this was done the same day we mentioned it to him, great service. We even had a gardener turn up to cut the grass. Having read other reviews we ate locally at the Olive Garden, which was excellent and had some lovely fish lunches when travelling around the Island. We also used the traverna and the restaurant at the Avithos beach both were very good, friendly and prices were excellent. The local carafes of wine are really good no need to buy a bottle unless you want to. Would recommend Poros Skala and particularly Sami which we both loved. Be warned if you drive to Fiskardo the main road is closed due to a minor earthquake last year so we had to take the minor village roads to get there which took longer but was a bit scary in bits wouldn't do it with kids in the back but the good news is the main road should be reopening soon. Was a little disappointed with Argistoli but the ferry ride over to Lixouri was good and also very cheap for foot passengers. You do need a car on Kefalonia but that's no different to any other holiday we have had on other Greek Islands. The nearby supermarkets were good particulary Carrefour where we could get two large steaks for 6 yes I did say 6 euros excellent ! They also do fab cooked chicken so easy. All in all lots to recommend it for a family, we even came back with Euros so were able to live, eat out and enjoy it all well inside our budget. David the owner provided all the info we needed and the drive from the airport was so easy and quick. A very successful holiday.

“A superb Villa in a fantastic location, Brilliant.”
Reviewed 19 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Villa Tessia is quietly situated and ideal for a peaceful holiday. We found it well maintained especially the pool and with all the facilities you would require. A car is essential however it is an easy drive to Argostoli, beaches, supermarkets and there are tavernas in walking distance.
We were so impressed we have had two holidays at the Villa in the last 9 months and if available will try to book again next year.

“Fabulous!!!”

We have just returned from a fabulous fortnight in Kefalonia. It was our first time on the island and we will definitely be back.

Villa Tessia was superb. We found it to be really well equipped and was presented exceptionally well. It was spacious and in really good condition. The pool area and garden were fantastic (although the pool was a bit chilly!). The garden is private and the location quiet.

We found the villa to be really well located. The location was really peaceful but there were two really good tavernas within easy walking distance. It meant that we didn't need to drive out in the evenings and were able to enjoy the local wine! We were surprised at how cheap eating out was - just over 30 euros for a three course meal for two with drinks! We also recommend the Kastro Café bar which was a couple of kilometres away!

It was also easy to get around. It only took a few minutes to get from the airport - really easy - but there was no aircraft noise at all. Argostolli only took ten minutes in the car.

We thought that it was really good value. We flew with Easyjet out of Gatwick and got a really good deal. We hired a car - you could probably manage without but we really needed it to explore the island.

We have been to other Greek islands before but this was our first visit to Kefalonia - and we will be back, both to the island and to Villa Tessia
