“Beautiful accommodation in superb location”
Reviewed January 13, 2017 for a stay in January 2017

We stayed at beacon view with elderly relatives and our Labrador. The barn was perfect for all our needs. It was great having a downstairs bedroom and ensuite for the older members. As a previous guest called it 'the dog room' or boot room was so useful as this time of year our walks involved a fair bit of mud. We have stayed in premier cottages before and found them always good and reliable.....this was the best. The location was just fantastic for walks costal and countryside, lovely dog friendly pubs.
The whole atmosphere of the place is really magical. I agree with all the other reviewers, Liz and Danny go the extra mile which makes such a difference. We hope to return

Thank you very much for that glowing report:-) I am so glad you found Beacon View to be just right for all your needs with elderly parents and Stan the Lab. Yes we have to agree that this is a stunning location with a huge amount of diversity in countryside between the coast, moors, forests and dales and very friendly village communities too. You've seen the winter here the other seasons are spectacular too. Danny and I do hope you will return. Happy New Year to you all. Liz

“Stunning barn conversion - perfect for a winter break.”
Reviewed December 30, 2016 for a stay in December 2016

We spent a week here and have already rebooked for next year! The barn is gorgeous - fabulous high ceiling in the sitting room, sumptuous bathrooms (the sound system plays in the upstairs bathroom!), luxurious beds and a spotlessly clean kitchen. There's an enormous dining table which was perfect for Christmas dinner and board games and the house has underfloor heating so it was cozy and warm the whole time.
We visited at Christmas and Liz and Danny decorated the cottage including a 20ft high Christmas tree - absolutely magical!
We took our mini dachshund - the house makes it very easy. There's a "dog room" (probably not called that but it's what we called it!) at the entrance where we could wash him in the huge sink after every walk and leave him to dry before letting him into the main house. There were even dog towels provided.
Walks round the area were stunning and you can walk straight from the house. Easy to reach the coast - places like Staithes well worth a visit.
We would wholeheartedly recommend Beacon View Barn Cottage.

So pleased that you all - including Charlie the dachshund - had such a lovely time at Christmas here in Beacon View Barn. You are right this is a magical place and in the heart of the beautiful North York Moors National Park to boot. We are delighted that we will be welcoming you back in 2017. Happy New Year to you all from Danny and Liz

“Outstanding barn conversion with beautiful views !!!”
Reviewed June 12, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Beacon View exceeded our expectations. Such a lovely place to stay in. It was very well equipped with everything you would need and more... One of our party was elderly with mobility problems, so we found the downstairs bedroom with ensuite ideal. The weather was kind to us and we spent a lot of the time sitting outside in the private garden, taking in the breathtaking views. The location is in a very secluded area so is very quiet and peaceful.
The owners Danny and Liz made us feel very welcome from the start ,and nothing was too much trouble for them. Would definitely recommend Beacon View if you want a 5 star property in a outstanding location.....

“Lovely house, excellent location, helpful owners - we loved it!”
Reviewed May 13, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Beacon View is a lovely barn conversion, sympathetically restored from the stables that were there before. Inside, it is well equipped and furnished, everything is provided for your comfort and entertainment. Outside there is a large covered yard / open sided barn, provided with a table, chairs and barbecue. Great for breakfasting while taking in the lovely view, or having an evening drink while watching the more competitive in your party having a not so gentle game of croquet

This was our second visit to Beacon View and certainly won't be our last. We were shown around the other Barn which has been converted since our last visit. It too is beautifully done and maybe we will try that next time - soon we hope!

“A great place for friends to get together”
Reviewed June 9, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Lovely picturesque views and enough space for 6 adults. Very comfy beds! Although quite a large space the barn feels very cosy and homely. The outdoor space is also excellent with a good size gas BBQ and decked area.

Lack of mobile signal was an adjustment but potentially a welcome one.

We're really pleased you and your friends enjoyed your time here together and found Beacon View Barn comfy, cosy and homely. The undercover BBQ area is great fun with those stunning views of Danby Dale. We're sorry that we didn't make it clear that we have a pay as you go phone in the barn for our guests use, this is on the EE network and is so useful when your own phone is on another network. We will give that more prominence in the barn information folder. Thank you. Liz

“Absolutely gorgeous barn in a stunning location”
Reviewed April 14, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We have just returned from a weeks break at Beacon View Barn and had an absolutely brilliant stay. The barn itself was immaculate and very well equipped both inside and out. Dan and Liz made us all feel very welcome and the homemade scones we received on arrival were to die for. My 7 year old said they were the best scones he had ever had! The highlight of each day for my 2 year old daughter was feeding the Doves on the lawn just in front of the barn. The living room was extremely comfortable as were the bedrooms. The views from the barn were gorgeous and the garden was very secure for young children to play. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and we are already thinking about booking up again.

Thank you for writing such a lovely review, we are so pleased that you all had a great time in Beacon View Barn and that your son enjoyed my scones, they are Danny's favourites too!
The garden is family and child friendly the worst that might happen is a stare back through the fence from the neighbourly sheep.

“Fabulous barn, pure luxury!”
Reviewed February 9, 2015 for a stay in February 2015

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at Crag House Barn and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.
We were pleasantly surprised by the warmth of the barn - the underfloor heating and log fire were wonderful. There was lots of space for us all (3 couples + an 18month old) and we had all we needed for a fantastic weekend.
The barn has been converted beautifully and to a high spec - you can really feel the luxury in every room. Extremely comfortable beds, powerful showers, top of the range kitchen - every detail had been thought about.
Danny and Liz were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome indeed. Particularly enjoyed the homemade scones and bottle of red wine upon arrival!
