Went here with my father and brother, for a business trip. The hotell is fine, but they have a weird rule about bringing food to the room. We are importers of food, so we couldn't bring any of our samples to the room.

Stayed here for three days at Easter. The hotel isn't in the most convenient spot but Naples, the amalfi coast and Pompeii are all accessible: the hotel provides a very efficient and reasonably priced taxi service to the nearby towns send the train station. The family room was huge and really clean, the food was EXCELLENT and the family owners couldn't do enough for us.

Nice hotel, with large rooms. Good swimmingpool and close to Pompeï, Napoli and Amalfi coast. You need a car, however. Otherwise it's very difficult to do visites.
Staff at reception is nice and informative, especially when they have the time. Every night the owner has a surprise for you at his bar, a nice cocktail or wine.

Room Tip: 3rd floor nice and quiet. Often wedding parties in hotel.

Having read other TripAdvisor's 'mixed' reviews we were apprehensive about our choice before travelling. Our experience of the hotel was however very positive. The reception staff spoke good English, were courteous, helpful, professional and very welcoming.

Rooms were comfortable and air conditioned (though they lacked a kettle to make the odd cup of tea/coffee! - Apparently it's not 'the norm' in Italy to provide these things). We made the mistake of booking our room in the 'Annex' which is closer to the area of the hotel where weddings and other celebrations regularly take place. There is some merit in other contributor's comments about the noise levels. Some simple measures could easily be taken to abate the nuisance. In the Annex for example there is an old grand piano in the foyer which many of the excited kids at weddings take delight in hammering! When the piano is directly below your room and at the bottom of the stairs leading to all the other rooms, then it's pretty difficult to get an afternoon nap or an early night. Locking the keyboard cover would cost nothing but give considerable relief to guests. Furthermore there is a basement below the Annex which appears to be used as a sort of Creche/Kinder-garden whilst the adults 'swanny' about elsewhere. The combination of kids and unlocked pianos is not one conducive to relaxation! But to provide a representative and fair perspective, this was the only fly in the ointment.

The hotel is a couple of kilometers outside of the main town of Castellamarre and there's little in close proximity in terms of places to eat but recognizing this inconvenience the hotel provides a good shuttle transfer at a reasonable price into/back from town from where there are good transport links to Sorrento in one direction and Naples in the other. The Circumvessuviana rail link (which is akin to the Metro) runs regular trains which stop at most of the other small places along the line (Pompeii, Herculaneum etc) and provides an excellent means of avoiding having to drive in the madness which prevails on the roads.

Although we never had cause to eat dinner or lunch at the hotel (so are unable therefore to review the food), the breakfasts were good. Pastries such as 'Sfogliatella' and croissants were 'home made' plentiful and of a high standard. Bacon and eggs good too!

Recognizing that the hotel is outside most of the main tourist areas (albeit within easy striking distance of them) it offers good value for money. It is immaculately clean and furbished to a high standard. When we return to the area we will definitely stay here again although probably choose to pay a little extra to stay in the main part of the hotel rather than the Annex.

Room Tip: Pay a little extra and opt to stay in the main part of the Hotel, not the Annex.

We spent 7nights at this hotel as a base for exploring the beautiful Coast of Amalfi, Pompei, Napoli etc. The staff are excellent, very friendly and very helpful, particularly Teresa and Maria on Reception. Nothing was too much trouble.

Our room (307) was large with a very big bed & a separate single (which we didn't need). Our balcony overlooked Mt Vesuvius & the Gulf of Naples. There were weddings whilst we were there, but our room was on the other side of the hotel and so they did not affect us at all and certainly did not overlook them.

The pool is fine with a built in jacuzzi. It is accessible when there are weddings on, using the path at the side.

The breakfasts were as expected, just one slight criticism, the coffee was never hot enough, nor the water for tea. However, the waiters were happy to provide fresh Espressos & Cappuccinos on request. We weren't charged for any of those.

There are a couple of things that I would suggest that could be improved. There is a lovely roof terrace at the front of the hotel, but nothing to sit on so some chairs or sun loungers would be good. Also, there is no information in the room about things to do, local places to visit, places to eat etc. this would be useful, especially if in a few languages.

Overall, we felt that we were very well looked after, at a very reasonable price.

And special thank you to Teresa & Maria. Grazie belle donne.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of Mt Vesuvius & Gulf of Naples. 307 is excellent.
