The museum in Kyustendil is relatively small, and you can easily go through it even for 1 hr. But do not hurry. Give yourself some time to learn more about this town history. You will be amazed to understand how many cultures have been there, what they have left as traces. The collection of artifacts also tells the story well. I am a Bulgarian so you might think that I do tend to give higher rating just because this fact. I may be but I have also experience of many other countries and museums. What makes this place unique is that you will find very good collection from 4-5 century BC with Thracian artifacts, then huge evidence of Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman times. That's a lot of things to see in one place. So do enjoy your stay there ... take baths and go to Osogovo mountains also!
