“Didn't want to leave”
Reviewed 11 November 2014 for a stay in September 2014

My Husband and I and our 2 dogs had a wonderful holiday at Orchard Gites.
We stayed in The Pressoir over looking the orchard. The views are beautiful.
From the bedroom window the sunrises and sunsets were stunning.
Alison and fudge made our stay extra special.
The dogs had a great time playing ball with fudge in the orchard while we enjoyed the tranquility and the beautifully attended gardens.
The local cider and produce is truly delicious.
The locations is fab for getting about. although we were so relaxed at the gite and enjoying the garden that we didn't go to far afield.
I would recommend the gites to any one. If you want to relax and do nothing or travel around Calvados, Orne or Manche it is truly a perfect place.
We stayed for two weeks and didn't want to leave.
Thank you again Alison for a wonderful holiday and all the laughs.
until next time Brian, Kelly and doggies x

Thank you for your lovely review. I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay here with your dogs. There are lots of lovely walks close to the gites and and the orchard is a nice area for doggy ball games. As you have mentioned, there are plenty of interesting places to visit that are easily accessible from Orchard Gites but equally, it is a lovely spot to just spend time and relax(preferably with a glass of local cider!).

“An excellent get away from it all.”

The orchard gites are cosy cottages in a beautiful rural setting. Alison the owner is extremely welcoming and offers incredible art sessions during your stay which make the most of the French countryside. A car is a must but some lovely visits are within quite a short drive away.
We will definitely return next year.

Thank you for your great review. I really enjoyed the 'arty' morning spent painting with your children. It was such a beautiful October day and the colours were lovely. The children produced some lovely paintings and should be very proud of their efforts. I look forward to seeing you all again next yea.

“peaceful get-away in Normandy”
Reviewed 20 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

We enjoined our stay at the Orchard Gite Cottage to its fullest. The cottage is very nice, clean, cosy and well equipped. It has everything you need for a country vacation. It was quiet and relaxing, set in a beautiful location. The surrounding area is absolutely charming and packed with things to do, and the town of Vire is close by so you can get everything you need there. Alison was a lovely host, very kind, informative and helpful, and did every thing to make our stay enjoyable. We would definitely like to come back in the future!

The 'bocage' countryside surrounding Orchard Gites is very pretty. There are lots of walks in the area with lovely views that unfold as you turn each corner! I'm so pleased that you had a relaxing stay here - it is the perfect place to 'get away from it all'!
