Located at about 2.5 kms from Pelling, One needs to walk about a 1km from the main gate to visit the Ruins. The walk through the forest or off road is intriguing. The ruins are very old and most of place was under maintenance when we visited. You can view the pemayangtse monastery from here and also the view is breathtaking.

One need to walk though a sloppy path covered with trees for 15 minutes before reaching the ruins. The fort/palace has most of the side walls and steps intact. There are no ceiling . Different platforms are at different heights. so the visitors have to climb now and then

If you are a history buff, then these ruins are worth visiting. What was especially impressive was hearing the chanting from the monastery on top of an adjacent hill.

Very quite place surrounded by thick forest. Additional attraction is a bird sanctuary. The ruins are a good two kilo meters walk from the road. The entire ares is well maintained. The main attraction, apart from the Ruins, is sight of Kanchenjunga.
