We booked a Deluxe Beachfront room at the Muri Beach Club Hotel, after reading many reviews of Rarotonga resorts. It's a boutique resort, modern style and facilities, and adults only, meaning age 18 and over. That pretty much delivered a very relaxed environment for my wife and me. Our flight from Sydney arrived at 6:30 am, and check in time is 2:00 pm, but, no worries. Early arrivals can check in, then enjoy a Continental buffet breakfast, then relax in the comfortable lounge, or even change into swimwear and use the large pool, then relax poolside while the staff makes every attempt to have your room ready early; our room was ready for us to move into at around noon. Given a 10:00 check out time, we were very pleased. The room had everything needed, was quite good sized, and the bed was angled to provide a beach and water view. An ample balcony provided beautiful lagoon views and a lovely place to enjoy a cocktail anytime. Room service was prompt and friendly. Meals were really great, well prepared and presented, not to mention top class taste and, to the extent possible, made from locally sourced organic ingredients. As for the staff, they were all, from administrative to cleaning restaurant and bar staff, just outstanding. Liana Scott, General Manager, has built a superior customer orientated group of people, who are always making every effort to satisfy guests. You really can't go anywhere and find better people than those at Muri Beach Club Hotel. If you're planning a holiday in Rarotonga, and you're not taking children with you, this is the place to stay.
