Where to begin? Isadoro and his son Giovanni welcomed us with warm hearts and big smiles. The room was very nice, spacious and clean. Gorgeous Rosa (Isadoro's wife) greeted us with a delicious breakfast and the best scones and lemon cake ever that she baked herself. Ok now to the finale. If our stay wasn't perfect enough, the morning we were to leave for Taranto our taxi driver called last second to cancel. Isadoro and Rosa and their adorable son drove us to Taranto!!!
I highly recommend you stay here with this beautiful and kind familia!

It's tough to get a 5 star review from us, but this wonderful, small, family run hotel gets it all right. We had a double room with balcony and sea view and it felt as though we were family friends visiting. Thoughtful care had obviously been spent to make sure what you need is there for you. Everyone in the family, from Grandma Rosa to the youngest son, are warmly friendly so you feel welcome and relaxed.

Our room was comfortable, spacious, and quiet. Our balcony was a distinct pleasure as we could sit at our table there, sipping, and enjoy the sight and sound of the sea. I really appreciated the drying rack provided on our balcony so our swimsuits and towels could be dry by morning.

Breakfast was especially delicious with the best scrambled eggs and coffee we've had in 3 weeks in Italy. But make sure you leave room for sampling the delicious array of home baking available to you for breakfast.

Hint: the wife is a wonderful cook. Unfortunately, everyone knows it and the restaurant is usually fully booked for dinner. So i recommend you reserve your dinner when you reserve your room.

This the perfect spot to stop on the drive from Reggio di Calabria to Matera. Had we known how much we would like this hotel and beach, we would have stayed longer, as most of their guests do.

We were searching for an inexpensive place to stay in Calabria, but every place we tried to get to before this was a zoo like atmosphere - narrow streets, people shouting and yelling, and the towns/beaches were unkempt. So when we got here, it was like heaven. And although 20-30 euros more than the other places, it was so worth it. Right on the beach, family run (mom, dad and 3 sons). She cooks the meals( 25 or 30 euros per person for a complete dinner - we had already eaten but saw the other folks enjoying their meal. We were jealous!)...and she lovingly makes everything for breakfast (finally had some real eggs...). Delightful people, relaxing area. Coffee was top notch too. Not 4 star, but clean and homey. It definitely upgraded my opinion of Calabria.

The hotel is spotless, the food is amazing and the staff are very welcoming.
It has a lovely friendly feel to it.
Had a lovely relaxing week here. The beach is only a minute walk from the hotel.
Back to the food - all of it is fantastic, especially the homemade cakes for breakfast!
We loved George the Parrot in reception too!
