Rented the suite for one night, when wee got there the room was 40 degree celsius, and after asking 2 times we got a smal fan, the food needed to be pre-bookt the day before, so there was absolutely no food to buy that day, they could have told us when we booked. for the price of almost 3000kr for one night, we expected more.

Dear Michael

I am so sorry to hear you had a stay with us that was not satisfying.
Some very warm spring days took us a bit by surprise, and we are sorry for not give you the possibility to adjust the temperature soon enough when you discovered this. Unfortunately we do not have an automatically climate-system in the suites.

All our guests will receive a confirmation where information about the meal rebooking shall appear in the text. We will go through the information, and see if we can make it more visible, since we during the winter/spring season only open the restaurant when we have table reservations.

We hope you enjoyed Senja though, and if you plan to return, we would be happy to offer you a special deal and a free meal.

So much to ski from summits to sea. Thx to Esten an Yoda for finding some nice lines on some apparently atypical, sunny, warm and windless days in early April. As for the stay at the Hotel, everyone has already spoke of the stunning location and views, and the fact that there is no internet or TV in your rooms. However, if work demands it, you can easily access internet in the main building. You should be too tired from skiing anyway. Dinner is a bit expensive, but it was well prepared by a chef, not a cook, was tasty, and the waiter was kind and helpful. The local stores have more than enough to make a home cooked dinner, which can be served with a private view of the mountains which was my preference. The staff are super friendly. (Just so you know, I only wrote this review because I feel the staff, especially Esten who helped a lot, deserve it. If I had my way I would tell everyone to go to Lofoten to ski and stay away from Senya because the whole place smells like the backside of the Senya Troll. More fresh lines for me).

We stayed at Hamn i Senja for two nights and are extremely happy with the stay. The breakfast is to die for and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We can not praise Esten, the activity manager, enough; his great knowledge of the area made our stay the best possible. Highly recommended for anyone who loves skiing or kayaking!!!

We stayed for 2 nights in this so-called resort and had a beautiful apartment with breathtaking view of mountain and the sea. Apartment unit is pretty much basic and minimalist with 2 bedrooms. Bed is so nice and comfy though the look is just so simple and very basic. The people in the reception and our guide who drove us and took us to see scenic view were all nice people and friendly.

Though the total package is quite expensive for this stay, our stay has been quite enjoyable. The only thing we missed on this stay was the northern lights which unfortunately we did not get a change to see it in Senja.

Senja is just such a beautiful island & this hotel (almost like a small resort) is in an idyllic location.
We stayed for 3 nights & treated ourselves to a one bedroom suite. They are like small apartments with a living/kitchen/dining space together with a good sized bathroom (shower only) & small bedroom. There was a floor to ceiling window with a jaw dropping view of the fjord & even a very private patio to sit on (if it's not too cold!!). It was overall warm, comfy & spacious.
The breakfast buffet was good with plenty of choice. We had a package with an evening meal included (a necessity as this place is fairly remote) and we enjoyed exceptionally good 3 course dinners. It is a fixed menu but the chef is able to cater for allergies etc.... Make sure you book in advance as just turning up & expecting dinner may not always be possible.
All of the young staff were so helpful & friendly.
We took advantage of a wildlife rib boat trip which was great even though the weather was not the best.
The icing on the cake was the appearance of the Aurora on the 3rd night & the viewing area by the lighthouse was a perfect spot.
Our only regret was not being able to see more of the island as we had no transport. It would be good if the hotel also offered short trips to see more of the local scenery which is magical.
I hope we go back again one day.
