We went to Wels to see the science museum and we stayed at the Rosenberger hotel in Ansfelden. You can spot the hotel from highway, so it was no problem finding it. The parking is free and safe. The room was huge. It had a big bed, so all four of us could sleep on it, the room was clean and neat. The cilhdren were running around, they spent most of their time in the bathroom, which had a walk-in shower ... so they played there a lot. We had a coffe infront of the hotel and our kids where running around the lawn. We sat in comfortable chairs and watched how much fun they had running round barefoot. The hotel employee then came out and gave them a present - baloons and coloring book, which was nice. We had a good night sleep and it wasn't all that expensive ...

This hotel is strictly optimised for people who are traveling on the motorway and get tired driving. Very spartan, no minibar, no kettle, not even a bit of "home away from home" feeling. Just a place to take a quick shower and a sleep before continuing the way.
Very expensive breakfast (12 euro per person) compared to the offer.
The good side is the generous parking lot, cleanness and a good phonic isolation.

The hotel is located near the motorway. Rooms are clean but the beds could be better. Parking and WiFi are free (WiFi signal was excellent). Breakfast is too expensive. There is only one electrical outlet in the room which is ridiculous considering the number of devices people have these days (there are two more outlets in the bathroom but you don't need them there). No safe deposit box in the room.

Booked this hotel well in advance, informed them that we are a family of 5, they said ok but you have to pay extra! Fine no problem, we agreed to pay €118, while our friends a family of 4 paid €69! Anyway we checked in and we got a room with 4 beds while we are 5 and our friend got exactly the same room with 4 beds but he paid much less :(

So we ended up with a tough night, sharing 4 beds & 4 pillows 5 of us while we paid for 5

I was visiting the area for the holidays and because of renovations we stayed at the Rosenberger for two weeks over Christmas and New Years. It's not equipped for longer stays, but I think for an overnight this place would be more than acceptable.
Because we were on holidays, we slept in late so getting our room serviced was hit and miss.
Not the best cleaning job in the bathroom - It could have been swept a little better, but I will give them some credit for the effort.
Our shower head was cracked so it wet the floor of the entire bathroom. They did manage to replace it a few days after we reported it. (Staffing is minimal over the holidays).
The restaurant was decent; breakfast was a little pricey after just coming from the Azores.
The bed was brutal; the twin mattresses on a flat wooden platform was a pain; we laid them crosswise and put a blanket over the crack so our butts wouldn't fall thru the crack when we were sleeping. It worked better that way than the mattresses side by side and falling thru the middle of it.
Overall it was a decent place, but I wouldn't recommend it for longer than a night or two. My back is still suffering from this visit.
