“Am already looking at when I can come back and stay again!”
Reviewed May 29, 2012 for a stay in May 2012

We both rated this as one of our all-time favourite holidays - and Lobbs Cottage really contributed to that. The accommodation is superb, exactly as described and decorated and furnished to a really high standard. The milk, flowers and chocolate cookies were a lovely weloming extra! We made great use of the BBQ and Chimenea and found lots of sunny spots for breakfast and lunch. The Falcoln Inn is only a 5 minute walk away down beautiful wild flower lanes - with great food and local beers. The beach at Mawgan Porth can be accessed via car (10 mins), or via footpath (30 mins walk, 10 mins cycle) and Newquay, Watergate Bay, Penzance, Lands End are all within easy reach. We'd recommend a visit to the Screech Owl Sanctuary too! I can't wait to come back again :-)

“Beautifully finished”
Reviewed April 10, 2012 for a stay in February 2012

Lobbs Cottage is a perfect winter getaway with a small group of friends or family. We were the second people to ever stay and all of the rooms had been finished beautifully. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment for self catering (and a pint of milk, teabags and biscuits on arrival was a great touch). The sofa's were comfortable, with a TV and DVD player for nights in, and a great log burner. There is also a wc and handbasin on the first floor. The main bathroom is downstairs and a little cold for the winter months so keep the heated towel rail on - this is my only very small moan about the whole place. It was agreed between all of us who stayed that the two double bedrooms had the most comfortable beds we had ever stayed in. Each of the three bedrooms had a small TV, wardrobe and drawers. The third bedroom had bunk beds which were perfectly comfortable for children, or small adult who had drawn the short straw. There are external doors in the third, smaller bunk bedroom that lead onto a pretty garden, where there are also bbq facilities if you are staying in the warmer months.

The local pub was easy walking distance and served extremely good food - mussels, local mackerel, chicken & chorizo. Mawgan Porth beach was approx 1.5km away an easy drive and wouldn't be a hardship to walk, and with such a beautiful coastline it's not so far on the coast path to Watergate Bay or Bedruthen. It is also an easy drive to the supermarkets in Newquay for supplies. The owners gave very easy directions to find the cottage from the main A30 through Cornwall.

I would definitely make a return visit.
