“Absolutely Brilliant (But don't tell everyone!)”
Reviewed April 18, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We've just returned home after spending 3 nights at Lobbs Cottage. What a brilliant location and super cottage. Cameron was so welcoming, and the cottage exceeded every expectation. Quiet and secluded yet close enough to Cornwall's many attractions to be the perfect mix. First day we walked to St Mawgan Porth beach, which is about 20 - 30 minutes flat, picturesque walk. The walk was a delight. We enjoyed the flight museum at the Airport, staffed by some extremely friendly and welcoming volunteers. Beaches - what can you say - plentiful and great for mum, dad and two teenagers pretending to be children! The cottage itself was clean and well appointed. It had everything we needed. It's only a shame we didn't have longer to sit outside and have a bar-b-que in the enclosed garden. With the local pub serving good food (if a little slowly) only a couple of hundred yards away it is hard to find anything not to love about Lobbs Cottage. We'll be back.

“Can't wait to return!”
Reviewed February 14, 2014 for a stay in February 2014

We stayed at Lobbs Cottage as a couple for one week, it was fantastic. The cottage is in a great location for exploring Cornwall and is furnished very well throughout. It was exactly as we expected it to be and more having viewed the photographs online. We found the cottage to be very cosy during our winter week away and the log burner was perfect for those cold evenings. We would like to visit again in the warmer months when we can take advantage of the garden and barbeque area. Overall a fantastic stay.

“Just what we wanted”
Reviewed November 4, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

What a fantastic trip. The cottage was perfect. Very comfortable with all the amenities you need. St Mawgan village is small, with a decent pub and a post office just a 5 minute walk.
The coast is not far, and can be walked to. Despite being late October we woke up each morning to a fantastic view down over the village to the hills. The owners were very helpful with directions and recommendations - most of which we done and enjoyed.
St Mawgan is great if you are wanting to go and see lots of more of Cornwall - Padstow (home to Rick Stein's Fish and Chips), Trebarwith Strand (set on the cost in a cove with a few cafes and a pub over looking the see), Port Issac (fishing village known as Port Wenn to Doc Martin fans), Watergate Bay (for Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant), Tintagel Castle, Eden Project and Newquay are all within a 30 minute drive. St Ives, Penzance and Lands End are all close by.
Newquay and Wadebridge having your major supermarkets with 30 minutes for those essentials things.

“Super cottage and location”
Reviewed July 9, 2013 for a stay in June 2013

We stayed at Lobbs Cottage in St Mawgan in June 2013. The booking process was very easy and communication from Julie and Cameron was excellent.

The cottage itself was superb, really homely and the fittings and furniture were excellent. The beds were comfy and the bedding was of an excellent quality. No expense has been spared on the property and everything was spotlessly clean. This is THE best holiday rental we have stayed in and I'm sure that we shall stay in this lovely cottage again.

The village of St Mawgan was lovely, a good park and playing fields for children to play in. The Falcon Inn serves superb food and drink at reasonable prices and has an excellent beer garden as well. There is also a great shop and tea rooms that serve excellent cream teas and cakes (all of which are homemade).

We walked from the cottage via the local footpath to Mawgan Porth beach which took about 40 mins, but wouldn't recommend you do that if you have children with buckets and spades etc. We did get the local bus back from Mawgan Porth to St Mawgan which only takes about 5 mins.

Julie and Cameron recommended various restaurants and local areas to visit of which we did a few, one of which was The Wild Cafe at the Bedruthan Hotel. We had a couple of drinks on their terrace which overlooks Mawgan Porth beach and I must say that the staff there were superb.

There is so much to explore in this part of cornwall and having Lobbs Cottage to go back to at the end of a tiring day was wonderful.

“Fantastic cottage in beautiful location”
Reviewed April 3, 2013 for a stay in March 2013

We have just stayed at this fantastic cottage for a well needed Easter break. The cottage is finished to an excellent standard and is like home from home. It has everything you need including wifi which our teenagers really appreciated. The log burner was just what we needed in this cold weather. The cottage is in a lovely village within walking distance from Mawgan Porth which has a beautiful beach. Great location for exploring the amazing coastline from Padstow to Newquay. The owners are close by and very helpful if needed. We plan to return again.

“Quiet and comfortable”
Reviewed March 30, 2013 for a stay in March 2013

I stayed here for 4 nights while visiting family. The cottage was immaculate and tastefully furnished and decorated. Everything I could require was available. The village is quirky and interesting in a lovely, unspoilt valley, yet just a few minutes from Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth.
