This lady who owns this hotel is very
Her hotel needs updateing in every way to be honest and the rooms need a tv
The only good thing about this place
Was the room over looking the sea

The restaurants have stale bread
The food looked like it had been cooked for a over week very off putting
Only water melon to eat no other fruit no potatoes
No presentation at all just disgusting
My food went to the local cats ...
I would like people to know this is a horrible place and the OWNER is even worst THANKYOU

This is the third time we have stayed in this hotel. This time only for four days to be quite honest the apartment room found to be excellent the view over the bay was absolutely stunning staff was very friendly. Location is ideal for visiting harbour and old town was made to feel very welcome. Would not hesitate to come back.

It was the first time for us on Crete, the friends advised Bali as it is central place on the island, equally distant from the main attraction places. Bali is a village in fact, with lots of hills to walk up and down, several tavernas, shops, car rental and travel offices. No open food markets, no post office, 20-30 min walk to the national road where you can take a bus (goes once in a hour) to Rethymno or Hieraklion (around 5 Euro per person). Taxi to Rethumno costs around 40 Euro.
The hotel consists of two buildings - Sofia, where the meals is served, and Mythos - closer to the beach. Mythos has only one single room, most its rooms are for 3-4 people. Almost all the rooms there have view to the sea, you can enjoy it from you balcony. On the balcony you will have plastic table, chairs and place for dry 3-4 towels. Furniture is old, but beds are ok. Sound isolation doesn't exist in the place, so once there's someone in the corridor, you will hear it whatever time it is, night or day. In the bathroom there is shower with the curtain, which doesn't prevent water come to the floor. So, you'd better ask for couple more towels. In Mythos all rooms are equipped with little kitchen with stove, fridge, kettle, dishes, flatware.
Internet is a weak point in the hotel - they provide only free Wi-Fi at the reception. If you need Internet and live at the part closer to Bali Beach, you can buy it from them - 14 Euro per week, however signal is not very strong.
In the beginning of May, 2016 it was quite cold outside, especially in the morning and in the evening, you will need long sleeves to have breakfasts and dinners, they are served outside. Meals are not various, drinks cost at dinner, fruit we had - oranges sweet melons and water melons at this time of the year. But in food shops you could buy strawberries and apricots.
The beach is sandy, water is marvelous - clear and turquoise. But in the beginning of May it was lower +20 (around 17-18), so there was not many people who swam. Two sun loungers with umbrella cost 6 Euro per day.
Travel guide offered some tours, but the costed too expensive, in Melissi travel right near the hotel we bought tours twice as cheap.
Conclusion: the better time to come is end of May, beginning of June or September. And if you wish comfortable place with good food this is not the best choice. If you intend to travel and to use the hotel only as the place to sleep - go ahead.)))

Room Tip: Two rooms apartment is better (e.g. 201), as there is less noise, and the bathroom is less damp.

We had 7 days here and every one was brilliant. Nikos and his family are stars.we stayed here over the easter and we're invited to join their family easter feast and a feast it was.we had a whole sheep spit roasted and all the trimmings fantastic. Never have we been so spoilt. ..the hotel is located just 10 mins from the beach and local shops and supermarket. A bus stop 5mins .it's got a nice pool with a bar .just ask for something it's no bother to them .I will be going back I promise. Please give it a try you won't be disappointed with the service and frindlieness. Thankyou nikos and family for making our stay so nice .. YAMMAS

When we arrived our room was not available but there was no problem we were relocated to another property, the following day we checked in to the Sofia, this property is across the road from the Mythos, but the food is served here and there is also a pool.
We had room 15 it looked directly out across the bay and we were able to watch the sunrise. The room was functional, and the food adequate. Bali is stunningly beautiful. The Sofia was an ideal location for myself and my husband as we wanted a week away on the beach.
There are many slopes hills and steps throught the area, no a problem for us but I imagine I could cause issues for thouse with mobility problems.
