Normal hotel. but not the best one. we faced some problems during our holidays there. Fist of all, nobody did change towels and sheets during the whole week. After we complied they did it. Second there is an area near olives trees where people relax all day long ( there sunbeds there) so one day hotel staff decided to cut the grass when guest of the hotel were relaxing there. so all people had to suffer bad gas smell and noise! when people started to complain, nobody took it into consideration. Dear Bali star staff, you can cut the grass in the morning or in the evening, when people have breakfast/dinner.
also food wasnt so good, almost every dish is very solty.
i wouldnt recommend this hotel to my friends (

We have stayed in this hotel during honeymoon and still remember this place with positive emotions. Owner is really helpful, food is nice, rooms are clean and swimming pool in early mornings the best! Hotel is in small distance to beach and village center.

Reviews of this place were really encouraging, with a general message of great quality rooms, friendly staff, great food etc. We arrived late on the Friday night and Demetris greeted us and had food waiting for us in our room. The room was lovely, though the glass bathrooms are a bit disconcerting. You make shadow puppets when you use the sink and your every move is projected onto the glass wall for your partner to see. But, more importantly, when you move across to the shower or toilet, there is no such problem thankfully. The hotel is really new looking, great pool area and mainly very friendly staff.

The owners' nephew who works in the restaurant/"canteen" (because the food is NOT high quality, even for a buffet style, but it is not bad, just a bit ordinary) was really friendly but there were a few lukewarm staff in this area. We ate breakfast but gave up on dinner after a couple of nights and ate out because the tavernas in the area had some really good Greek food.

Bali is a great little area, a former fishing village with a good balance of shops and beach front tavernas. The hotels own Mambo bar is really nice and they have sunbeds on the beach with parasols for 6euros per day. They have some nice looking gazebo type areas to sit in too next to the bar on the beach, but at an eye-watering 30euros to sit in them felt I could probably find a better way to spend that kind of money. And we did.

A really nice hotel only let down I think by food that was ok but not better than you'd make at home, and I haven't been charged for safe use in a good hotel for a few years (until now).

Room Tip: The rooms have a good views of either the sea or the mountains of the less pretty central garden.

Truly wonderful hotel especially because of their staff, they will always try to provide the highest level of hospitality they can. To every need or request we had, they were always smiling and kindly trying to help. I really appreciate the way that they treat their guests.
The food in the hotel dining room was usually delicious, they have different selection of food every day. We were there for a week and it was never the same. Regarding the room, everything was clean and neat, just some balconies are very close to each other so it is like sitting altogether with your neighbours, so if you do like to sit outside and you require a certain privacy, then be careful which room your booking, because the style of balcony differs from room to room. Hotel is situated very close to the beach, where you can rent two sunbeds and one parasol for 6 Euros for a whole day. The area is great if you want to go on a relaxing vacation, as it is more calm and not that crowded as other bigger resorts. Mostly families were there, but if you want to just spend some time with your partner it is great choice as well. To sum it up, I had a great one week long vacation in Bali Star Hotel and I can definitely recommend it to others.

We received a lovely reception by the owner, who showed us to our room, which was large and comfortable, we had a wrap around balcony which was private. The room was freshly furnished was very clean and my husband, son (14) and I were rattling around in it! Walk through the gardens and pool cross a small road and there's a lovely beach. The little train stops at various intervals near the hotel. It is hilly so not good if you have limited mobility. My husband has arthritis in his knees and we walked to the bus stop which was about 1 mile to visit Heraklion- it was difficult. Loved the hotel, the food was fresh and hot. A mixture of different nationalities which was lovely. All in all a fabulous family hotel, I would highly recommend. However, if you wanted to visit Heraklion or further, hire a car.

Room Tip: We paid a supplement to have a superior room and it was lovely.
