Stayed for 7 days there and it was the most relaxing experience in a long time.
Food was excellent, the waiters are young and sociable (also the bosses). Very close to the beach and there gardens set a path to it like a true vacation. Recomend the gardens if you want to relax or take a nap in the afternoon.

Room tip: Has a good view of the sea and the mountains

This is not a bad hotel. The thing is - it’s not very good either.

We were pleased by:
- relative cleanliness (though the tea cups in the room were _never_ cleaned. If we left them there for a week, they would be sitting there, dirty)
- rooms were nicely designed
- aircon was working well

We were really put off by food though:
- same dishes every day, very little variety
- ZERO Greek specialties were served over 2 weeks
- food quality was mediocre in general. Nothing tasty, just average. And it was expensive! We were paying 15€ / person (drinks exclusive) - for that price we could be eating fresh grilled fish with sides and starters, and in most tavernas we would even fit a drink in that price. For comparison, we NEVER had fresh fish at the hotel. To add insult to the injury, the ONLY fish that was served (three times in a row, mind you), was cod in lemon sauce.
- Breakfasts were poor as well. After a while I resorted to having only eggs.

The beach was very crowded, with lots of kids (there’s a huge inflated castle installed on the water) so it’s noisy and the water is blurred with tons of greasy sun lotions. You have to pay for umbrellas and stretchers (7-9€/day/pair), even though it’s a prt of the hotel (you can put drinks on your hotel bill).

We have ended up driving to different beaches after the first day and every single one was better than the beaches in Bali.

In general - I would not come back to this hotel or Bali (too touristic and noisy), I will definitely come back to Crete though.

The hotel is very nice and the staff is friendly. Everything is clean, the pool, the room (they cleaned the room every day). Everything looks new :). Oh and I almost forgot about the food at the hotel: it was so tasty and so many options! I definetly recommend this hotel!

Normal hotel. but not the best one. we faced some problems during our holidays there. Fist of all, nobody did change towels and sheets during the whole week. After we complied they did it. Second there is an area near olives trees where people relax all day long ( there sunbeds there) so one day hotel staff decided to cut the grass when guest of the hotel were relaxing there. so all people had to suffer bad gas smell and noise! when people started to complain, nobody took it into consideration. Dear Bali star staff, you can cut the grass in the morning or in the evening, when people have breakfast/dinner.
also food wasnt so good, almost every dish is very solty.
i wouldnt recommend this hotel to my friends (
