For what it costed and what we got
Elpis was actually lovely. We got a better room as it was our anniversary and asked if we could pay for a room viewing the sea with a double bed but they upgraded us for free (this was all via email) The room was lovely and spacious, lovely view and very clean. The staff were a nice albeit quiet. The pool and pool bar were lovely, the drinks were expensive but the food was great. The only bad thing were the other rude tourists but that's what you expect.
Bali itself is lovely however a bit busy and not very 'Greek'

Firstly, I highly recommend Bali itself - a lovely little town with nice beaches, and you can easily get to bigger towns via public transport. The Elpis apartments are decent value for money, the rooms are basic but clean, and if you are lucky you can get a nice view of the mountains from the balcony. The pool is nice, as is the bar. On the downside, certain things were not up to scratch in the room (such as the shower fitting), and the WiFi is inconsistent at best. Staff are generally helpful, and they gave us a lift to the bus station on our final day, which was nice of them. Overall not the nicest place I have stayed, but certainly not the worst, and for the money I can't complain.

Great value one bedroom apartment with large balcony on the road through belie with all beaches within walking distance. Good pool for our six year old and a bar by the pool. We found the beaches at the port and furthest one along the best. Really good for snorkelling. Need to get there early though to catch it at its best in the summer. Good value hire car 300 euros for two weeks with airport pick up also available from hotel.

Room tip: Top floor if you want a sunny balcony

We booked 2 weeks at the Amalia apartments but dues to a flight change we needed an additional 2 days and unfortunately the Amalia was full and so we booked the Elpis. It was a lovely weekend away at the end of our holiday. The owners are delightful, unbelievably helpful even phoning to tell us out room was ready. I loved the apartments, they are spacious clean and really peaceful. We had a ground floor room and I would recommend asking for first floor. I would also recommend the Elpis for car hire and they also provide a driver to the airport for guests. We will be back.
