This apartment has been fully renovated with high quality and exquisite attention to detail. The modern facilities contrast nicely with the old (but renovated) stone walls. The spa area is stunning, with a cleverly-designed waterfall feature. The water temp was fine for summer (hot) weather - could have been warmer for October. Negotiating arrangements with Chris was painless; the resident agents, Cheryl and Stefanos, were most helpful and personable. The location, right in the centre of the town, is perfect, with a dozen bars and restaurants within a few minutes' walk, and a lively street scene right below the balcony. For a "different" dining experience, try Matis, just a few steps away - he will invite you into the kitchen to see what's on offer that night. We tried a number of cafes by the beach, and all were good.
We stayed for a week and had a ball, very comfortable for 2 couples, plenty of room.. Would say yes for anyone to stay...
This well situated apartment has recently be fully renovated and the original stone work and old wooden floors have once again been revealed. It is charming, clean and comfortable. The balcony offers a wonderful spot to sit and enjoy a glass of wine while watching village life pass by.
The Wifi is excellent and Netflix offers entertainment if you don't have a good book,
Everyone to do with the apartment is very helpful, friendly, generous and kind. But that is what Crete is like. The people are amazing.
Panormo is a quieter village than some of the others. No beach parties, clubs and loud music. But that, for me, is a big positive. It has wonderful restaurants and nice protected little beaches. There are sufficient shops for whatever you need and ATM machines. It also has a good bus service but there are local taxis in the village too. Car hire is also available. It is a beautiful island and worth exploring.
I really enjoyed my stay in Astraeus at Villa Kamares and the village of Panormo. A special apartment, special people and a special village. I hope to return.
This apartment has been beautifully renovated with impressive hand crafted wooden kitchen units and bedroom furniture. Everything in the apartment is top quality, from the locally produced ceramics to the Egyptian cotton sheets.
The balcony overlooks the street and it is delightful to sit there in the sun watching the world go by.
The owners, Laura and Chris are a charming couple, who make sure that everything is in place to make the holiday special.
Panorma is an unspoilt fishing village, with cobbled narrow streets leading to the harbour. There are plenty of good restaurants, bars and shops. This is Greece at its best, no soulless modern hotels, just beautiful scenery and the friendly Greek people.
What a wonderful, tranquil pretty village, villa was amazing! so traditional, the beds so comfy, and every detail has been carefully crafted to make it modern but traditional, locals so friendly and we didn't have anything but amazing food and hospitality the whole 7 days we visited. The pool on the ground floor is amazing perfect for chilling out in. Perfect holiday destination, we have 2 small children 4 and 1 and was perfect! 5 stars ⭐
