Review of Cape Fahn Hotel
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Feb 13, 2022via mobile
Great hotel on the private islands, we stayed one night in this hotel it turned out the best hotel we’ve ever stayed.
Great welcome from the Front Office team with tasty welcome drink and cookies.
The room was so spacious with beautiful decor. The room has offered a beautiful view , very private and quiet. The bed was so comfortable so we didn’t want to leave the bed. The room is clean and equipped.

The restaurant LongDtai served very delicious food and the view from the restaurant was magnificent.

The breakfast they offer was very very good and different from other hotel. The food was various makes you want to eat them all, the best breakfast ever.

The staff was very attentive and helpful thank you so much for taking care of us.

The overall stay was fabulous and feel truly luxurious.

This review is about a month and a half overdue and I’m so glad I finally have the time to leave it!

We had the privilege of staying at the Cape Fahn hotel over the festive season for a total of 8 nights in a Tropical Pool Villa (#14). Without a doubt, this was one of our favorite hotel stays in years! The staff across the board were fantastic.

From the GM Timo to the Front Desk Manager Kate, and Kate in the breakfast area, the service we received from ALL team members at the Cape Fahn hotel was warm, professional, and proactive.

Just a few examples…every morning we had the pleasure of dining for breakfast at Long Dtai. Kate was usually our server and remembered our drink and food order (down to the extra Croquettes!) every morning without hesitation. On another day, I was having issues with my ears and water. Without hesitation, Timo arranged for one of the Cape Fahn drivers to pick me up some ear drops from a local pharmacy. This is the kind of service that really can make a stay! The service at the beach club was also fantastic. I don’t remember his name, but every day he greeted us with a smile and took care of getting us paddle boards, sea kayaks, and drinks! So great.

The Villa itself was comfortable and we enjoyed our days by our private pool. The bedding is out of this world (I wish I could buy it!). It really was a great space.

I’ve stayed at several 5* hotels in Samui, and Cape Fahn is by far my favorite. It really does check all the boxes and we look forward to returning for years to come!

My boss is loving the property, but this review is about how the manager Kate went above and beyond for us during a travel crisis. Due to an error by the airline my boss found himself being held at immigration in Bangkok, unable to continue to Ko Samui until he booked a new Test & Go package in Bangkok. I was in the US trying to coordinate at 3 AM, wasn't getting anywhere calling hotels on my own, so I called Cape Fahn to see if they had a sister property in Bangkok. Kate sprung into action, called their sister property Cape House, secured his room and had a driver on the way to the airport to pick him up in less than 30 min - they stopped for his PCR test on the way to the hotel and rushed the results so he could make the first flight out in the morning. She connected w/ me via WhatsApp and stayed in touch the entire time to make sure everything went according to plan. She followed up with me the next morning to let me know when my boss arrived in Ko Samui.

Being held by immigration in a foreign country is a nightmare and I'm so grateful we had Kate, she saved the day and I don't have enough kinds words to say about her!

The little private island of Fahn is a perfect hideaway for those who love quiet and secluded place with beautiful beaches , views and location. We arrived on a sunny day and were quite amazed by the colors of the ocean. Soft sea breeze incessantly blew me away as well as the hospitality of the staff made me feel so comfortable with the place.
What to be improved: Low water pressure in the shower was the worst issue that spoiled our stay at the horizon village. At Long Tai, we ordered four southern Thai seafood dishes, the recommended signature dishes were quite delectable exceeding all the expectations but the other two dishes really had such a nasty taste that we nearly left untouched. Any way, breakfast was meticulously prepared and delicious, thus making up for that miserable dinner.

Room tip: No need to pay extra money for expensive villas. It’s not worth.
