This property is perfect for those seeking to escape the crowds of Chaweng beach (which is the most popular location in Samui). We've visited the hotel in April and found it charming. The beach is totally isolated from the crowds and is so big you can always find a perfect spot to relax. The beachfront villa we stayed was wonderful. Spacious, luxorious and secluded. My kids loved the private garden of this room and spent hours running from the beach to the villa.
As other reviewers, we also found the service to be great and the attitude extremly welcoming. The airline (bangkok airways) lost all our luggage and the hotel staff drove to the city to purchase all the amneties we asked for at no charge. That's defintely not something you see in every hotel, so I give them the perfect 5 points.

Room Tip: The beachfront villa is wonderful for large families (we have 3 little ones). There are several adju...

We recently returned from a weeks holiday on beautiful Koh Samui. We were fortunate to stay in Villa 10, Napasai which is managed by the Orient Express Hotel. I cannot recommend this enough. The setting was just beautiful. Every morning the view took my breath away. The villa is fabulous with top class fixture and fittings and well maintained by the Orient Express. Beautiful choosen pieces of Thai art were tastefully displayed about the individual bedroom chalets and lounging areas. We enjoyed very comfortable sun bathing on cushioned mattresses on the decking and sunbeds adjoining the pool. The hotel bought fresh towels everyday for our use by the pool. Private access to your own beach area was via rock steps into the wonderful shallow waters which were perfect for cooling off and snorkeling. Our villa was lucky enough to have a pool table which proved to be good extertainment for our teenage children. The hotel offered other activities like wind surfing and sailing. If a bit of night life was called for, a taxi was no problem to get us into Fishermans Village and Chaweng for dinner/shopping or clubs. The hotel will call a cab and there are buggies to take you to and from the reception area and front lobby to catch your cab. If you are a lover of golf, my husband enjoyed two games at Santaburi which is about 20 minutes from the Villa. We also as a family enjoyed an early evening go cart race which was great fun. So though the Villa and hotel are peaceful, luxurious and beautiful, you are not far from many local amenities and attractions. I would without a doubt visit Napasai again and highly recommend it.

This luxury resort is located far from any noisy city, on sea side with the advantage of very high quality service of Asian staff. Take time for very high level and very efficient massage made by local people.Thai massage of course. Good restaurant with service in the garden. You will come back cleaned up. This is an excellent place for a tour visit of Koh Samui.

We could not say better things about Napasai here. They have an outstanding staff that will go way beyond its means to assist and please its guests. While staying with them, I got a severe sun allergy and the Napasai team was so attentive to my needs and to ensure I healed properly. Five stars is not enough!

We stayed in this hotel for a week in February 2012. This hotel will be a heaven for 95% of those who visits it. The service and attitude of all who word there and the management is flawless. They really do a great job. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. We stayed in a villa, and it was fantastic. The value is the best anywhere in Thailand. We felt that we had the best of a hotel blended with staying in a deluxe private villa. The remaining 5% of the guest (I am in this group) will point out that certain upgrades are needed: The fitness center is really dated with very old machines, the restaurants in the main building needs and update and the food could and should be more exciting. Some of the rooms need the same upgrade. The SPA is not worthy a 5 star LHW hotel, but they provide great treatments for a very good price! We had this service at the villa almost every day. The hotel also need to work on getting those who clean the rooms and the linens to do a better job. We received stained towels and had to stress that we needed cookware to be taken away and washed properly; not washed in the sink of the bathroom. Our landry was not cleaned properly either, but again, it was very reasonably priced which I think is great. With some upgrades, this hotel will become a family favorite and we are very happy to come back again. Thanks to the great german manager who took our complaints seriously and that runs the hotel the best she can given the above limitations!

Room Tip: If you can afford; go for a villa! You will not forget...

The week in the Napasai Hotel in Koh Samui was amazing and I enjoyed every minute of it. We stayed in one of the Seaview Villas and had indeed a great view and the privacy we were looking for. The rooms are beautiful and leave nothing to wish for. The service at Napasai is great and the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly.
I do agree with one of the previous comments that the food isn't all too great there. We had dinner in the beachfront and normal restaurant - can't judge on the fine dining restaurant.
The private beach is cleaned every day and the pool is huge and being and infinity pool it is really nice to chill in the pool with ocean view.
I would definitely recommend this place.

In all other areas, a first class resort with attentive staff and excellent facilities. We followed others' recommendations and got a ocean view cabana (#120) two rows up from the beach with a breathtaking view within earshot of gently lapping waves. We ate on-site one night for dinner at the bbq restaurant which was by most standards pretty good - though like most high end resorts, pretty expensive. Our breakfasts were included and were first class. In spite of the beach, the privacy and serenity of the resort were welcomed after a group tour the previous 10 days and we found we were close enough to other resorts and town that we had the best of both worlds. Oh, and the huge, beautiful infinity pool almost made up for the tiny, rocky beach - if you want good sand, go to Cuba.

Room Tip: Don't take a room right on the water (miss the view) or too high up (many, many stairs).
