We booked thinking this was going to be a nice resort but it wasn't. When we first arrived there was no one there to greet us to check in. The place seemed run down. Currently, the owner Steve is the only one running the place. Steve greeted us when he came back, checked us in, advised us of the area, and told us about renting a motorbike across the street (great place to rent).
We went into the room to put our bags down and there were 8-10 cockroaches in the bathroom. Upon telling him, he immediately had a maintenance man come and patch the cracks in the bathroom and get rid of the cockroaches. While the bathroom problem was being fixed, he took us around the town to show us the area.
This hotel does not have beach access and the beach it's "near" is so dirty and filthy with trash we were afraid of stepping foot on it. There are concrete steps however down to the rocky area water, which you can rent a canoe and paddle around the ocean. It was rare seeing Steve around as one night we wanted to play pool but no one was around to get the sticks and balls from.
After we had motorbiked around during the day we would come back and swim in the over-cholorinated pool, which made the eyes sting and burn. Unfortunately the bathrooms at the pool are dirty so would not suggest to use them.
Beds are not comfy and the air con was loud!
Overall, we were disappointed with our stay as the place was run down and not well maintained. Would not come back to this hotel ever.

Room tip: You do have a view of the ocean when you step out but there is no true access to a beach.

Away from the tourist machines, yet close enough to some main attractions, like the Big Buddha, temples and Phi Phi Island. Steve, the owner, is a great host who makes sure you get to see both known attractions and hidden pearls.

The best thing about this tiny hotel is that when you have a seafront bungalow you have walk out of it and you have nothing, but the sea. Another great thing is the feeling that you are at Uncle Steve's holiday house and you know everyone who's staying at the hotel. The pool is nice and quite big. The owner is very helpful (he was driving us to the beach everyday) which immediately makes your stay better. Although he bungalows could be in a better condition with just a little work (just painting the walls would do the job in most cases). But all in all we had a nice stay there
When you choose to come to Fiji Palms Bungalows we would recommend you to visit the restaurant across the street (Noi the owner is such a cutie and cooks delicious stuff!)

My family and I had an absolutely amazing stay at Fiji Palms. Steve was awesome, and such a great help. We loved the banana pancake breakfasts, the pool, and the easy access to nearby amenities. Beaches, waterfalls, dinner under the stars, with waves crashing in the background. Island tripping, weekend market, spectacular Temples. Fabulous restaurants close by- with all the Phuket has to offer, it's no wonder it was the favourite part of our trip!
Thanks for a wonderful introduction to a beautiful country.

Steve is the man. My gf and I spent a few days in Kata Beach and hated it. Too touristy, overpriced boring food and crowds. We were over Phuket entirely until we made it over to Fiji Palms. Steve showed us a handful of local spots we would have never found on our own and they were all worth checking out. We spent a month in Thailand and our time at Fiji was probably our favorite. Rent a motorbike across the street and go explore the other beach areas. There are some incredible swimming beaches if you're willing to find them.

Steve was also nice enough to take us to the Krabi ferry when we had to leave. He didn't have to do that and it helped us out massively.

Thanks again for a great time, Steve. We hope to see you again.
